Well...that's a bummer.
So everything is still there then. It's just that if you are not logged on and just visit their site as a tourist to see and browse their product and what they have (window shopping), you just don't see anymore more than half their product.I'm probably won't be visiting their website then just to look what they have. I'm not going to create an account and log in every time on their website just to browse and see what they have and see if something interest me or not.
I really don't get it why they did this. They already had a perfectly working well censorship method before that was adding a filter on some picture that was deemed a bit too much revealing. Filter that you could choose to take down or not with a click of your mouse.

After checking in more detail what you said Eelgoo and clicking on the button "Free Membership", i couldn't see any date or anything like you said. So i clicked on the "renew", followed the instruction and.......it got renewed.So while you answer didn't directly answered my question.......it also did in a way !
I couldn't see how many time there was left on my membership because......well it was already expired ! >_<So....there you go. Your answer explained everything on how to see how many time there is left for your membership.
Just click on the "Free Membership" tab above the website. If you see a button name "Your level". It mean your membership is active. Just click on it and you'll see how many time left there is to your membership.
If you DON'T see the button "Your level" but instead see a button with "Renew", it simply mean that your membership is already expired and you need to click on the button to renew it ! Simple as that !
Otherwise, the website don't seem to indicate or give any other kind of warning when your membership is about to expire. You just have to check that tab from time to time and make a mental note about it.

Personnaly, i don't feel concerned with the new Genesis 9 generation comming out.
I'm still using vastly and mostly Genesis 6 models for creating my semi-realistic/fantaisy orignal characters and a bit of Genesis 7 for some bit more realistic models. The wardrobe i use are mostly Genesis 6 and 7, with a bit of V4 and a bit of G8 here and there. There are only in hair a sometime dig a bit more in the Genesis 8 librairy to fetch some. But i still use a lot of Genesis 6 and 7 hair.
So when Genesis 8 got out, i didn't even wanted to touch that with a 10 feets pole and i'm not going to do even more so with Genesis 9. Unless there are really some more innovating clothing or hair style that come out and were never made. And then again.....
Since Genesis 6, they started to drive more and more away from toonish and semi-realistic characters to more and more realistic life like models. (It became really apparent with Genesis 8). That's not what i am interested in. Too realistic, not enough fantaisy clothing style and characters.
To tell you how old style i am, i am still using Daz Studio 4.10. It's running perfectly on my cpu and it's doing everything i need to do and is able to use everything i need. So i don't see the need to dive into that new genesis 9.
Well, i'll be darn Billy Hill, i never expected to have an answer and finaly discovering what kind of asset that piece of clothing was.
Further more, it never occured to me that this "dress" would turn in fact to be a kimono !
I was sure it was some kind of medieval dress or mage/wizard dress going all the way to the floor with long sleeve. I'm flabbergasted, happy and also at the same time a bit annoyed. (Because it turn out in the end it wasn't the type of clothing i thought it was. Buuut, giving how the picture is showing the kimono, i guess my mistake was legitimate.)Oh well, thank you again Billy Hill for your reply. At least now i know. It was something that was bugging me for a long long time.
Nah, i'm good. Like i said previously, i somewhat tinkered manualy a texture that was fitting my need in the meantime.
Unless someone pop up in the meantime here and say yes they are interested in such a thing for this asset.
I'm just more than gratefull on the other hand for the explanation and knowledge you gave up. At least i know now that this asset is working "as intented". And now know what to expect.
Still...i can't believe Daz (or maybe it's the doing of some assets's creator) pulled such a low move like that. Why change the rules and something that was working fine since....years! Geesh!
Guess it's their "subtle" sneaky way of telling people to stop using old genesis figure and push them slowly on using/buying new genesis characters. -_-

Yes, i am currently using that piece of asset on a G2F character. (I first converted the asset to G3F, and then auto-fitted it to my G2F character.)
Thinking something was weird, i also just spawned the asset alone in a scene and tried changing it's texture.....Just like you said....Well that blow me away....and that's such a bummer!!!
I never use G8F characters. And seldomly use sometime a piece of clothing or hair from Genesis 8. The fews one i used previously didn't had that problem. So i didn't know that.Well thank a lot Amberleaf for the information. I learned something new today!!
Yes, of course. I know that. (that's what i ended up doing as a temporary solution.)
But doing that it is still not like using the preset texture made orginaly for this asset. With all it's different change in parameter, which i don't know all of them.And doing that is still not really fixing the error that is happening about this asset that shouldn't be happening if the product was functioning right like all the others Daz Studio asset.

I agree that would be a welcome feature for the forum.

I sympathy with you a lot. That's what happend when you wrote down a message on the forum and it suddenly go "viral". (Especially when sometime people overflow the original topic of the message)
And if that post become a main stay, you'll keep getting notification from that post for months, or even more....
Notification are great. I like the current system. They are particularly usefull when you get a Private message....or someone is tagging you in a discussion.But i wonder.....is it really that usefull to get a notification EVERYTIME someone is writting in a message who you were the original author ?!?!?
Especially when it's just people openly commenting and debating between themselves...not even most of the time talking to you or replying specificaly to you ?!?!?What are you people opinion on the subject ?
@Hunter Would it be possible, a way to maybe keep all the current notification system like it is, but just not having the "get a notification when someone is writting in a message you created" ? (Unless that person tag your name in a message/reply toward you)I mean...if someone really want to know if someone wrote in a message she created...he/she can easily just browse on the forum and see if the message got any reply for him/her. Odd are, that person will get name tagged or PM anyway if it's a request. After a while, old message on the forun get purged anyway.
I would be thinking like Sara above. I searched quite a bit for it. Mostly on Renderosity since i'm pretty sure i've never seen something close to that at Daz, and found nothing.
Also searching throught the portfolio of the artist in his/her store, gallery and Deviant art gallery yielded nothing also.
So yeah, maybe it's an unreleased product. Or one hell of a kitbash custom dress.
Based on the artist's porfolio, those short seem to be these but with a crude custom texture applied on all it's surface.

If it's not permanent and you only need that effect for a specific render, have....tried using a D-Former morph with the D-former tool ?
Since i don't know the setting of your asset, i have no idea if it would work and what would be the result of it. But if i were you, i would at least try. Just to see if that can give a good enough effect.
