Agreed ethiopia. I have more than enough to make pretty much whatever I want for years to come. Until they come up with actual big screen movie quality capabilities for us little people, I'm cool with what I've got.

October 9, 2026 at 4:21 PM #2191189I don't think most AI solutions will allow you to do porn, which is what at least half of the people doing 3d art are doing. But if you're not doing porn, then AI seems to be a major helper.
October 7, 2026 at 2:50 PM #2190917This is one of the reasons why I have multiple content directory folders in DS. One pristine Content Directory (never put anything other than the original DS install in it), one for things I use over and over in different projects (base G8/8.1 and G9 figures, gens, skin mats, a few pose sets and props that I use often), and one for whatever the current project is that I'm working on. Then, after I'm done with the project, I delete everything in that one and install whatever stuff I need for the new one. I also have a separate content directory for tools and scripts. And, of course, the standard Poser content directory folder. So minimum of 5 content directories at any given time. Keeps my horder DAZ collection manageable. That and taking the time to copy images of all my clothing, hair, character, prop, and pose assets so I can find what I'm looking for easily when working on projects. I've forgotten probably 90% of what I have, so, without pictures, I won't remember what it looked like and why I wanted it. All of these things must be done with manual installs. There are a couple of tools that allows us to make install files so we can use DIM, but, to me, it's not worth the effort. I used RS' Content Wizard, but it slowed down my workflow. Same with Content Package Assist tool. So just do it manually now.
October 7, 2026 at 2:31 PM #2190914And yet, here you are, on a site dedicated to dumb DAZ users. Go over to RHA's deviant page and drool all over him there. This isn't the place for it.
Or maybe you just forgot to include the /s at the end of your comment. If that's the case, then I apologize for not seeing the now-obvious sarcasm in your post in my first read.
September 24, 2026 at 12:48 PM #2189234DS code sucks. It's still based on the state of things from 20 years ago, where most folks had a few character morphs and a few pose packs and Poser was the dominate hobbyist's app of choice.
And this is another reason why I have multiple content directory folders. I tend to work on a set of renders in a story format. So I can just put a few characters, clothing, poses and props/environments into a Project folder and only work with those items. I can load base figures in less than 10 seconds this way.
September 17, 2026 at 3:14 PM #2188275Thanks Grouchy. I did a reinstall of both the base G8F and G9 figures and the gens from the original zip file in both the content folders yesterday. That didn't fix it.
However, I opened DS this morning and it's now working for both figures. DAZ must have needed to rest overnight 😉
September 15, 2026 at 2:06 PM #2188011@xialiubeigmail-com, I wasn't getting down on you. I was just pointing out that, if you really need something from there, it's probably available here as well. And while 3dload is a poor man's RS, it, along with Shadowcore, provide alternatives to things that are dead here. The amount of consternation that this seems to cause some of the folks here (based on some the suggestions on getting RS' attention) almost looks like people going through withdrawls 🙂
September 15, 2026 at 12:53 PM #2187995Isn't almost everything on Renderstate available here? I know it's nice getting stuff without having to "spend" points, but if you really want something, you can get it here (at least for 99% of the content there). That way, at least the people who actually buy the assets and share them get some recognition and reward.
September 11, 2026 at 5:20 PM #2187484Looks like 3d-load just updated his site with working links.
September 11, 2026 at 5:19 PM #2187483What does it normally take you to render that scene without the tool?
September 10, 2026 at 9:01 PM #2187359No worries @creepuk. I've already replaced the TV with one that I had sitting around unused and still in the box. The old one is now sitting in the basement waiting to go to the dump. It's too old and too heavy to keep around. It did have 4 hmdi ports tho, which was nice.
September 10, 2026 at 8:58 PM #2187358But he's still updating the site with new content. That's what's so puzzling. He must know there are problems, but he's still just adding away. Perhaps he's gone mad.
September 9, 2026 at 4:09 PM #2187203I think 3dload just started waiting until RS posted stuff and then he'd "borrow" from there instead of having to spend points to get stuff here. It will be interesting to see how RS problems will effect 3dload. He was always a couple/three days behind RS in posting stuff.
September 9, 2026 at 11:40 AM #2187171Luckily, I had a spare Samsung that we never opened from a BF sale a couple of years ago (was supposed to go with my kid to college, but they said it was too big for the room). I set that up and it's working great. I've got full UHD resolution and no overscanning now with it. And from what I'm reading about LG spying on us to the level of creepy-as-f, I'm no longer going to be getting LG in the future. Thanks again.
