I have NEVER watched the show or read any of the books. My brother-in-law is into dragons and every so often he asks me to render one for him. This one he didn't ask for - just thought I'd surprise him with it and he's getting a print in the mail soon. This could also be called Mike's Dragon 3.
The iron throne is an old Poser prop that I used shaders on. When I bought it I had no idea what it was - just thought it was cool. For that matter, I bought SAV's Dragon Lady stuff and had no idea.
Since my sons ARE familiar with the show (I'm really not), I relied on their feedback and some research on the web. I combined HDRI lighting and a rim light turned way down. Had to use the Iray view because everything was dark otherwise.
The hall is from Daz. Once again, I've owned it for years and had NO idea! Oddly enough, the throne they made to go with it is completely wrong.
I really had fun with this.
Next stop... I started a Steampunk Tarot Deck about ten years ago. I've done about ten cards and looking at them NOW I realize they need a reboot. Technology has changed so much since then.
Would like to see more renders of the dragon.
Wanted to do a tarot deck after seeing a few artists do their own. Just don't have the patience.
Well, it's gonna take time. I have the first one done and I'll have to share it and the original here for comparison. It does take patience, that's a definite.

I've never watch that show either but I get the gist.... a stealthy way to get softcore pornography into the households of those who might not otherwise watch it..... hugely popular I gather. Gone are the days when TV couldn't even show a double bed. In the 50s-60s when a couple's bedroom was shown, twin beds diffused any connotation that they had a sexual relationship ha ha. The first one I saw was on the Brady Bunch... scandalous! Sorry for going OT.I like the conception and directing. I didn't like the lights. The spotlight kills the atmosphere and realism.
