Where to get free software & 3D models

With the recent spam of 3D models and software, I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of sharing sites where these items are available for free. Please add your favourites and a short review such as membership requirements and filehosts used.

https://gfxpeers.net/torrents.php A great spot for software releases. torrents are usually well seeded (I'm a seeder there). Site likes to ask for money and sometimes disappears for a few days once a month. Membership is free.

https://forum.cgpersia.com/models-releases/ Free membership and uses various filehosts. Lots of 3D models including cars. I usually see the cars here first. Read the FAQ and follow it closely as they ban people instantly if you spam or make inappropriate posts. Otherwise, a well run site that's been around for ever.

Here's a spot for the latest magazines. It has everything but is heavy with technical and graphics stuff.

Each magazine links to a pile of different file hosts, some of which are loaded with spam and redirects, others, not so much. Ensure you have good ad blockers running and dive in. My net filter (Avast) likes to ban this site so I have to turn it off before visiting. I've used it for years with no problems.

https://www.3d-load.net No membership, no costs, just DAZ models free of charge. Everything that is hosted here is found either here or on other member-sites first, although the time it takes isn't that long. Not everything shows up, though.

https://www.3dzone.link This was the goto place for content for a long while, but has gone to shit the last 6 months. There was a short lived try to cash in with coinminers, so I will recommend you have scripts turned off and perhaps even a coinminer blocker before going there - they do have nice content, but you'll need to either scour the source code for the Mega-link, or use a download-manager, like jDownloader.
