    because 5$ for 1000 points
10$ for 2000 points etc.. is really not very attractive

we need some big discounts the more you buy
for exemple 10$ for 2500 instead of 2000 etc..

specially that is really frustrating that sometimes you have DEAD LINKS .. and you loose your points without getting any refund on them ;(

Why don't you try adding up how much it would have cost you to personally buy all the stuff you have downloaded from here, then add up how much you have spent on buying points. Pretty much a no brainer that you are saving heaps of money by not purchasing anything yourself. If you bought a few items and shared them here, you would make heaps of points and not have to worry about buying them for a while.
Personally I think the amount of points is quite generous for what you can get in return

Five dollars gets you 1,000 points, divided by 50 point 'cost' to download equals 20 items. This is per single item. Bundles of many items are also only 50 points. Even so, 20 items for $5.00 is as attractive as 'a picture day Jessica' when you consider that DAZ3D would have to sell those same items for .25 cents each to compete.

And for some reason you believe that the more points you buy should give you more buying power? Why do you believe that?

Hi James, a good way to get value for money is if you went to daz3d store and purchased a figure, or hair, or, clothing that was not yet shared here in the zone.
Then you could share that product here, and you will get a points reward every time someone downloads it.

globalrecession2009 is absolutely right. Imo the 50 point per item price is too cheap.
Never forget, sometimes you can get 2pcs 100$+ content for just a daily login. Don't be dissatisfied.

I think that when it becomes your site, you can run it any way you want.

Keep an eye on the request forum. For example, someone just requested and received Meipe's Fender Bender for Genesis 8 Female(s) at Renderotica. The bounty for that topped out at 8,500 points. If the going rate is $5 per 1,000 points, and if the dollar cost of this specific item is $12.50 at the Renderotica store, then they just gained 8,500 points for $12.50 right off the bat. Do the math. And then consider the dozens or so of additional individual downloads gaining you more points.

You have to acknowledge that the whole point of this site is to have people UPLOAD models, textures, etc. NOT pay for points. Perhaps the cost of points VS the benefit of gaining points via upload is intentionally skewed toward uploading.

You're not just buying points, your helping the site stay up and running. It's not free. Hunter and team cant keep it up forever with hopes and dreams.

If you feel it's not fair, there are plenty of alternatives, less attractive, and not as well maintained. Not only are there items here, lots of items, there are forums, a community and friends. You won't find all then in one place elsewhere.

James, looks like you've only been here a month, many of us have been here years. Want more points? Get items to people on request list like everyone else, enter contests. Post items, get points for other people downloading.
