@jabaduhut, Yes, wasn't it Adobe that was using people's work to train AI? More recently it's been discovered that LG's TVs are recording conversations and video EVEN WHEN TURNED OFF and sending it to their servers. They're making a lot of bullshit excuses now with corporate-speak but the damage has been done.

So sorry Laurendev, I love the product but the online requirement means I won't buy or use it. I can't trust you. The fact that you yourself are here illegally sharing and downloading items makes you even more untrustworthy.

It’s going to need to be hacked, because the software is just too temperamental. If you make the mistake of stopping it, it won't launch at all anymore—lol. Not to mention all the errors during rendering.
For the moment, there's no point in putting money into it.

I’m starting to think you may not know what a beta actually is, so let me explain it

A beta version is released so software can be tested by real users before the final release. That means yes, there be bugs. Shocking I know. The whole point of the beta is to find those bugs, report them, and fix them before the full release. That is quite literally what a beta is for

    -----

Look, I respect everyone’s opinion here. If you don’t want to use the program because it requires an internet connection, that’s completely fine. That’s your choice. Nobody is forcing you to use or buy it

My goal is not to argue with people who want to pirate the program. I pirate plenty of things myself. In fact, with my previous product, Image to Pose Generator, I personally posted the download links on this site

But that does not mean people can make baseless accusations about something I’ve spent months working on. I’m not going to stay silent when people claim that I’m collecting renders, farming user data, or using people’s work to train some AI model. I’m not Adobe, LG, or some giant corporation. I’m an individual developer. I have absolutely no need for anyone’s personal data, and there isn’t even an AI model in this application that could be trained using your renders in the first place

People are free to say whatever they want, but that doesn’t make those claims true

I didn’t create this tool to argue with people online. I created it because I wanted to make Daz Studio easier and more convenient to use, and to build something genuinely useful for the community. People who want it can buy it and use it, and those who don’t simply don’t have to

Except that in a day, it will be a paid version. So his status will change...
What's the point of paying for something that only works when it feels like it? Beta or not.

It’s pretty clear you can’t tell the difference between a beta and a full release. The bugs are being fixed before the paid release. The whole reason it’s in Beta right now is because the program IS STILL UNSTABLE. If you don’t trust it, don’t buy it. Nobody is forcing you. This really isn’t that difficult to understand

    I understood perfectly.
And you didn't update it; the bugs are still there.
I don't know if you've reset the counter again—since I can't launch your app anymore—but yes, it's unstable, and as long as that's the case, I won't be buying it 😉

Because the beta is still ongoing. The point of a beta isn’t to mock the program because it has bugs, it’s to report those bugs so they can be fixed. If you’re not willing to do that, then delete the program and don’t use it again. And yes, don’t buy it either.

The beta release expiration has been extended according to the dev's page on RH. It's an open-ended date (a while longer), but at least they seem aware that there is more work to be done. I usually use Blender for my renders (so much faster and better imo), so I have no dog in this fight. If it makes DS easier and faster, then we're all better for it. If not, it will die off. No need to take pot shots at a product that's still under development or post stuff as fact that isn't know. And constructive criticism should always be welcome when trying to improve, no?

It would be a dangerous thing to download cracked. The beta already needs to be whitelisted by anti-virus. If it was logically priced maybe I'd buy but daz creators like to mark things up 20x their value.

I trust reputable cracker/releasers more than I do mainstream companies. It seems like everybody is getting in line to collect everything about customers so that they can make a few bucks selling the data to data brokers.

With hackers it's a matter of pride, and a challenge. I'm sure we all remember when Denovo(?) spent a few years and over a million developing an uncrackable code for some popular game. It was cracked in a day with eight(?) lines of code. The hackers crowed proudly over that.

The software does what it claims. Depending on the settings, it reduces render times by between 50 and 75%.
However, there's a trade-off in quality. In order to lower render times, the soft uses heavy denoising which, imo, smoothes the skin too much. Small details are also lost in the process, such as light reflections in eyes or on objects. It's not really suited to crisp 4K renders with lots of detail. For basic 3D renders though, I suppose it gets the job done. People with low-spec computers may find it useful for reducing render times.

$55 for a vibe coded app ? These devs are so out of touch, no wonder people are forced to crack these. And this is how development stops when not enough people buys it. It is a good product but price is just way too high. I'm honestly waiting for bluejaunte's render engine to release.

“Vibe coded app”? This is an application I’ve been developing for nearly a year using my own knowledge and experience. What it does is also far beyond something you can simply dismiss as “vibe coded.” If it’s really that easy, you’re free to vibe code one yourself.
There are products in these marketplaces that do nothing more than act as a Render Queue and still sell for $20–30. Considering that RA can reduce render times by roughly 3–4× while also including NVIDIA NTC, Iray VRAM cleanup, and Render Queue functionality, I don’t think $54 is expensive at all.

Also, $54 is the RenderHub price. The Patreon price is $39.

And this isn’t only about my product. One of the main reasons products from independent developers become expensive on marketplaces like RenderHub is the enormous platform fee. RenderHub takes around 45% from each sale, before even accounting for withdrawal/payment processing fees.

That isn’t developers being “out of touch.” It’s what happens when marketplaces have enough control over the market to charge sellers fees that high.

    $55 for something so janky—uninstalling...

I made the app freely available to everyone for a full week specifically so people could test it properly before deciding whether it was worth buying.

So seeing reactions like this after giving everyone that opportunity is honestly kind of amusing. Keep it coming 🙂

But why is it that even after paying $55 I have to verify it online. There is a point of failure there, it works until until the verification server is online, just like online access game, which gets scrapped when the studios don't find them profitable.

Also daz, renderhub, steam etc always takes their cut for the visibility and ease with distribution (payment methods that work around the world, unlike patreon). That's just the price of doing business, also no one would have known about your product without renderhub.

There actually isn’t a traditional verification server that I personally host and have to keep running. The licensing system is built on Cloudflare Workers, so the verification logic runs on Cloudflare’s globally distributed infrastructure rather than on a single server or VPS owned by me.

That means the application is not dependent on one machine somewhere staying online. There is no server of mine that can crash, get shut down, or stop being maintained and suddenly make everyone’s copy unusable. As long as Cloudflare’s infrastructure and the internet itself are functioning, the verification system remains available.

I specifically designed it this way to avoid exactly the kind of single point of failure you’re talking about. It isn’t something that requires me to keep a physical or virtual server running every day. Even if I were suddenly no longer around to actively maintain the application, the licensing system isn’t tied to a computer sitting somewhere that would simply be switched off.

Users are also informed before purchasing that an internet connection is required for license verification, so this is something they are aware of when they choose to buy it.

And regarding RenderHub, yes, I agree with you that platforms like RenderHub provide visibility and make distribution much easier. My point is simply that the commission rates are still extremely high. RenderHub takes around 45% from each sale, before withdrawal fees are even included. Patreon or Steam, for example, do not take anywhere near that much. Those commission rates inevitably have an effect on the final price of products in the Daz ecosystem.

Comparing it to other daz stuff doesn't make much sense. Daz stuff is insanely over priced. Compare it to anything else you can get for $50/40... maybe don't hate the player hate the game. But the loony prices are why piracy is so rampant.

I had Qwen 3.8 Flash Next abliterated and it cracked it in 37 minutes on my machine, now just have to figure out how to apply it for all machines for the 1.3 version and then I can take the 70k points.
