Hello everybody,
I have a problem with the "Sue Yee Half Shawl Long Hair". The hair works without problems. However, when I save the scene and load it again, I get a "Duplicate formulas found in file. Make sure that the content is properly installed." error.
It works fine afterwards - but the error is annoying. When looking at the log file, it complains about every Genesis 8.1 morph when using a Genesis 8 character - and complains about every Genesis 8 morph when using a Genesis 8.1 character.
The strange thing is, when I load the complete hair including the included hair band into the scene, the error doesn't occur. But as soon as I delete the hair band, the error occurs. Am I the only one with this error and can this error be fixed somehow (it's the first time, I actually see this error)?
Thank you very much
August 29, 2021 at 12:41 pm #1725370This works with duplicate errors on char files.
It should work with your issue too.
Open your log file.
From the dropdown menu
Help / Troubleshooting / View Log File
Delete everything and save it.
Then load the base figure where you get the duplicate content error and open the log file again. You should then see the file that is duplicate in the log file more easily. It looks something like “Duplicate formula found linking ….”
It gives you the path of where the file is too.
It can be called up from within Daz Studio.
🙂
August 29, 2021 at 7:59 pm #1725489Thank you so much for your help. This brought me indeed one step further. However, I'm not sure if I fully understand the cause for this problem.
In the log, I could identify following issue:
Duplicate formula found linking Smoothing Iterations & CTRLHairSTYLE1 owner: Sue Yee Half Shawl Long Hair_262626 output: Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair_262626:/Scenes/zT01.duf#DzMeshSmoothModifier?extra/studio_modifier_channels/channels/Smoothing%20Iterations input: Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair_262626:/data/Sue%20Yee/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair/Morphs/Sue%20Yee/Base/CTRLHairSTYLE1.dsf#CTRLHairSTYLE1?value
When comparing the saved scenes:
Working scene:
"modifier_library" : [ { "id" : "DzMeshSmoothModifier", "name" : "DzMeshSmoothModifier", "parent" : "/data/Sue%20Yee/Sue%20Yee%20Hair%20Band/Sue%20Yee%20Hair%20Band/Sue_Yee_Hair_Band_16639.dsf#Sue_Yee_Hair_Band_16639", ... "id" : "DzMeshSmoothModifier-1", "name" : "DzMeshSmoothModifier", "parent" : "/data/Sue%20Yee/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair_262626.dsf#Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair_262626",
Scene with problem (after deleting the hair band from the scene):
"modifier_library" : [ { "id" : "DzMeshSmoothModifier", "name" : "DzMeshSmoothModifier", "parent" : "/data/Sue%20Yee/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair/Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair_262626.dsf#Sue%20Yee%20Half%20Shawl%20Long%20Hair_262626",
The issue is now, which file needs to be modified in order to resolve the problem? Is the issue the same utilized "id" by the hair and the hair band - but why would this be an issue if the hair band is not in the scene?
August 30, 2021 at 7:15 am #1725615It really depends how the vendor has configured the file.
I think experimentation is the easiest way.
Work on a copy & modify each in turn & see which fixes it?
