There are a few more today. Maybe they should be posted to Non-Daz-Poser Models and not the main blog. Most of us would know they're not for DS from the file types, but some my not.

I wouldn't worry about the ones already there... just any future ones.

I grabbed a couple architecture files from DesireFX and they're crap. Just like the boat, textures are a mess and everything has Asian (Chinese?) characters. I've seen these files all over the place in various shit-sites and they're all garbage.
The poster should be banned from posting this crap.

They're not all garbage and the textures are a mess because DS can't access the .mtl files. I've had a lot of success with conversions if you put some time and effort into it. They would work fine using the progs they were designed for and remember not everyone comes here only for DS content.

I'm mostly interested in 3rd party interiors because so many of them are incredible, the kind of thing you'd never get from a Daz vendor. I always try them in Blender first and if they're messed up, I'll try an old hacked copy of 3DSMax. I mostly find that textures won't load because the links are missing or screwed up. The UVs seem to be from some other model and the mesh is just one big mesh comprising all objects. It's too bad since a few have looked amazing in the attached screenshots...exactly the kind of thing I want for my figures.

For architectural stuff you might be better off using your own (DAZ) textures/shaders. For large surfaces it should be quite easy and quick to create material zones in DS... walls, floors, glass etc.. with the geometry tool. The same for furniture, or just use Daz furniture. It doesn't always work depending on how the polys are set up.

Nice work! You'll pretty much always get bits that don't have their own material zones, in which case you'll have to create them. And it's common for a model to come in reversed so just select everything and resize it through zero negatively or positively, yeh it will turn upside down.

Use chrome or aluminium shaders for the metal bits and there are tons of plastic, rubber and cloth maps & Iray shaders I keep just for projects like this. I think the main issue is that a lot of people are too lazy to go through the process. Personally I love the challenge of kitbashing converted models.
