I have alot of externals of daz and older poser files. is anyone interested in them other wise l am just going to dump them all.

EvaConsider this place a repository; an Island of Misfit Toys. Given contemporary scripts, plugins, and Blender, old stuff can be converted/fixed/optimized/improved.

Sure! It'll go nicely with my older CPU, GPU, RAM, case and all the other ancient shit I'm forced to play with. I love the old/ancient/archaic items.

There's already a few large archives of RDNA items available here. I'll stuff your uploads into a zip and add a bunch of mine to it.
I'd like us to agree on a naming convention too. I'll ask a mod if we can get a sticky mentioning these archives. We get enough posts asking for old stuff that I'm sure it would be worthwhile.I would have to see what i have all my older poser stuff is on dvds almost 6 or 7 big dvd files
How would you add to my files and what do you suggest for a naming convention and what hosting site.Hmmmmm.....how about 'The Vault 01, 02, 03', etc?
It's easy for Winrar or Winzip to add files to an existing archive.
We will have to limit size to maybe 2 or 3 GB's? Those old files where much smaller so we can still pack a lot into a few GB's.
(edit) Oops....I've got an archive of Vicky Four hair that's 103GB...*gulp*.
(edit #2) I've got 16 archives from here, all of which are under 5GB. There's "RuntimeDNA Collection" 1 to 9MediaFire or Mega would be fine since there won't be a ton of downloads and it's unlikely that they'll get DCMA'd and removed.
Maybe we could torrent? I use that ancient Emule protocol and it's excellent. Rock solid and stable.
Torrent or usenet. Usenet would be good (but no one has it anymore). It will stay up for 15 years. I still get old movies from there that were uploaded in 2012. Also, no real limit on size of files. I've d/led 500gb files from there.
@barcgwcc, Usenet? That really shows your age 🙂 I was huge on it in the early days of dial-up. I mostly spent time in ABPE** and posted a lot. We even had a FAQ. It was a great time. I was lucky in that my ISP had NNTP support so I wasn't paying extra. I haven't been there in a few years. Once my ISP dropped it, it didn't seem worthwhile to pay a bunch for something I wasn't using much. All the good stuff is mostly encrypted and passworded now anyway.
Emule is great for all that weird JAV stuff. There's also a ton of music and old movies on it.As long as we could get a bunch of folks keeping the files seeded (even a little bandwidth), Torrents would work well.
Honestly I have no idea how to Usenet. It was a novelty when I learned about it way back and I never figured out how to use it. I downloaded the Emule client but also have no idea how its used.
