Duplicate morphs and morph recovery

I currently have 2 morphs named Cammy Body (From diffrent vendors) and they interfere with each other. How do I fix this, and recover a lost costume model that was mangled because of this interference.

You'll have to uninstall all products containing the offending files (good luck if you didn't use DIM) and re-install each to a separate Library so that you can include or exclude them as needed via the content manager at runtime.

You can edit the dufs to change the name in one of them and they'll work. I actually did this a couple of days before with a guhcoituz character and both character morphs work fine.

Can you elborate since my conflict is one of his models and ROMFX.

Open the duf in notepad ++

If you are getting gobbledigook extract the duf.

Once you have clear text you will be able to edit & save the title of one of the morphs to something different, to eliminate the duplication which is confusing DS.

You have to locate the files in the data folder and then rename them, let's say add Romfx to theirs. Then open the new files to a text editor (make sure to uncompress them first if they are compressed) and replace the names to the new ones.

For example, I had problems with Black widow, the data folder contains
MCU Black Widow Body.dsf
MCU Black Widow Head.dsf

I renamed the two files by adding Guhcoituz to the names. I opened them in notepad++ and replaced all references to the new names
"MCU%20Black%20Widow%20Body" to "Guhcoituz%20MCU%20Black%20Widow%20Body"
and all
"MCU%20Black%20Widow%20Head" to "Guhcoituz%20MCU%20Black%20Widow%20Head"

I'm not that good at explaining. Which characters have the conflict? Let me fix it for you if you want.

You can use 7zip, dazStudio or these
DSF Toolbox

I've got a dsf_dumper (compress decompress) that I use, but I can't remember where I got it from. It was free as far as I can remember.
The duf is just a text file, so any text editor will do.

My dufs are supposedly compressed and gibbrish is written inside of them.

I did just that I changed the ID of both files, I unsed winrar decoprassed it, then recompressed it with 7zip and changed the name to DSF and returned to my daz. Yet I have seen no change.
