AI is improving monthly. Seriously doubt Daz is going to release something that blows people away this year.
I’m blackpilled on AI.
It destroys my creative vision.
It’s always like this: I have an idea, I open up Comfy, and I start prompting.
Maybe it gives me something I like (though never what my original vision was), so I take what the AI came up with and go from there.
Maybe I’m not happy with what I got at all. I use various tricks to guide the image generator toward what I want. This takes forever, and I never really get what I envisioned. AI has taught me that it's often smarter to just go with what it suggests instead of trying to force it to make what I actually want.People always compare using AI to being an art director, but that’s not true. If you have a competent artist and explain in detail what you want, they’ll get there. AI doesn’t.
It’s more like browsing a giant DeviantArt or ArtStation with a very advanced search function.
That’s why clicking "generate" over and over, maybe tweaking a parameter here or there, feels exactly like doomscrolling.It’s great when you’re making memes, goofy little jokes, or just want a pretty picture.
Slightly enhancing DAZ scenes is the only time it feels like an actual tool, instead of like an artist who doesn't speak your language and keeps misunderstanding what you want.
With Daz I usually get the artistic vision I want and unlike AI the process itself makes me myself enhance and refine my artistic vision instead of compromising and changing.
It's probably really bad for you to get conditioned to just give up on your creative vision.
AI trains you to become a passive consumer of pretty pictures to a far greater extend than it helps you create what you envisioned.@joem well said, it makes you feel like driving the car, while in fact just sitting on the back seat.
Agree. AI is like telling an artist what to paint for you then taking credit for it.
However if the artist can do a better job in less time then guess who's going to get hired.
The reason people hire artists to draw their RP characters is they suck at art. Now they can type a couple sentences and get their character for free.
If people somehow think the industry isn't looking to replaced 30 people with 5 they're in for a surprise.
I hate texting. I'd much rather you leave a verbal message or speak directly with me. I hate email. Absolutely everyone wants an email to do something as simple as turn your f#%@in lights on. But as much as I hate both Im texting and have an email
