Thanks. That is kinda what i thought. I mean beta testing is early version but you also see "public build" which also makes me confused. But i am not a real artist and just use it for fun and to relax.
I do foresee them buying that AI pose generator thing, though, and maybe AI-enable the FaceGen or Face Transfer plugins
There's a lot of potential liability in facegen. I don't think they'll accept that risk since they're extremely risk adverse. Plus, facegen sucks. Until it can actually deform the mesh and not just paint a face on the base model, it's functionality is mostly a fail imo.
re: facegen - That's fair to an extent... but then, they already have a ton of big fat disclaimers, and it's not like most generative AI doesn't already do deepfakes for parody and porn purposes.
@eelgoo - I don't see them doing a subscription model per se, but I did have to pop in a serial number to get autofit to work on the latest version yesterday (where before I didn't have to), so the potential is there (the serial # is in your product library - works the same as the 4.x Pro, though I don't recall the necessity of it for autofit of all things. Maybe I'm wrong on that?)Is the serial number you enterted for autofit paid for or pirated?
I'm interested in the possibility of all serial numbers, and even users being blacklisted if DAZ try to enforce another anti-pircy feature using AI across DS accounts.Or maybe I'm overthinking it, who knows.
It's "paid" - that is, they supplied it for free in my account so it's probably unique to me. I don't mind using it, because I specifically tell it to work offline (and the beta still has that option), so once a clean install has been registered, I'm good to go.
I believe they added the registration portion with this iteration, because I didn't need it before. That also tells me they're nearing release if they're tidying up the 'security' portions of it.
DAZ is in such a sad state right now, and I don't even know if cretain people in the community, and I won't name really who, but we all know who, don't even care if the software goes belly up or not cause they are just using it to make their own Degenerate Garbage.
Point I am getting at is this. If DAZ don't wake the F up and realize that vast majority here want everything back to the way it was before Gen 9, which means separate meshes, no more NFT crap, no more sub crap, and actually them INVESTING money into the software to improve its optimization, cause I'll be frank with you all. NO reason this software should even be CRASHING on high end rigs. That's literally them hiring on develepors through a NON-MERIT means.
They know what must be done. Questsion is: will they do it? I'm not keeping my hopes up.
I still got Gen 8 and making great renders and OCS with that, 100X better than using Gen 9 and its androgenous garbage unimesh...

Dude, the reason people keep clowning on you isn’t because you dislike Genesis 9. Tons of people dislike G9 for completely normal technical reasons. It’s because you somehow turn every discussion about 3D software into a rant about “ESG,” “the Matrix,” “degenerates,” “mental illness,” and “transhumanism.”
You sound like someone completely consumed by online conspiracy culture. The moment a mesh topology change becomes “proof” of a global ideological agenda, people stop taking you seriously.
And the fact that you instantly label anyone who disagrees with you as “brainwashed” or “triggered” just makes it even more obvious. Most people are trying to discuss software. Like @eelgoo I think it's suss. I'll add my two cents into the mix. I think software in general is moving towards embedded unique identifiers. Give it a few years and they'll know what you rendered last summer if GPU's are removed from physical ownership and become a subscription cloud service. The same way the gaming industry is headed 🙁

I'm literally keeping their business afloat by using their free software and stealing their brokered products! They should do what I yell at them to do!
