I don't want V4 items not to be posted, but sorted into an extra category.
There have been days where there are 3 pages of old items that could hardly be used nowadays. Sometimes I like to use V4 stuff as well, but its maybe one in a hundred.July 21, 2018 at 7:25 PM #686818You don't get to back peddle. It wasn't a simple suggestion because you integrated a personal whine, so you don't get to start ranking on people for posting in response.
Nobody ever said you didn't want them posted at all.
You're solution would be to have people post older items in a way that would NOT have them show up when posted, to the top of the list. So nobody would know those itemes were just posted or available. Just tuck them out of the way so you don't have to see them.
I personally think that's a bit selfish, however, I am VERY curious how you would suggest going about that "simple" task. And to say that you won't post stuff because others are posting stuff you don't want to see is kind of childish. If you posted newer stuff, then that would break up the older stuff posts.
July 21, 2018 at 8:26 PM #686879Also, thank you for the posts during the past 2 weeks. You've actually posted a lot.
We appreciate your posts as well as everyone elses.July 21, 2018 at 9:07 PM #686916I frequent a gun forum and in that forum people sell rifles, pistols, knives, ammmo, bow, fishing ect...
Each section is dedicated to whatever a persons has on their mind. I can also search by area and distance. There is no fee to use the forum. Ive sold over 30 guns and a few other things at no cost to me.
My suggestion isnt to hide V4. I have several of her items on my HD ATM. I would like to have the "option" of browsing only V4, G3, G8, M4 ect... rather than browsing "people"
Im no programmer but I cant imagine it being that difficult a task. I frequent this site often so I normally do not have many pages to browse though new posts. I would however enjoy the ability focus "browsing" if im looking for random clothing with no clue what I want.
July 21, 2018 at 9:23 PM #686926Maybe add a checkbox that says "Newer than G2" and if that is checked, it gets posted into a separate category for only G8 and G3 stuff. That way everything still shows up at all posts but those who are annoyed by old stuff can only only see newer figure stuff.
That wouldn't be too hard to make with WordPress.
July 23, 2018 at 5:08 PM #688927It could be done the way forums for Sims games do theirs and have cat for Sims2, Sims3 and Sims4 so you only see the new post for your interest say Sims3. The forum has you choose your preference and I think this site has grown enough to adapt to a system like that to make it easier for people to filter out irrelevant content.
July 23, 2018 at 7:27 PM #689048Just adding my two cents: I think some kind of filter is a good idea, but I wonder it wouldn’t be hard to go by character, because so many overlap and work with multiple figures. Also some people still release new stuff for V4 (like Maddelirium for example). The nice thing is nowadays you can often get old clothes to fit new models and vice versa. I almost would rather have categories by age like anything released before XXX year maybe. I don’t mind seeing older stuff, but at the same time I can understand that it’s hard to see the newer stuff and you have to scroll for ages, and it can be daunting.
July 23, 2018 at 7:33 PM #689055I think this is going to be a situation where you aren't going to please everyone, regardless of the way it is formatted.
Personally, as a daily visitor, it usually isn't that difficult to sift through all recent uploads.
🙂
July 24, 2018 at 12:36 AM #689359yes but when I first came here I had no clue what I wanted and pretty much took a few days to scan almost the entire site. If someone wanted to sift through all M4 clothing it would be a challenge. I check almost daily so now it isnt an issue. I can say I still wouldnt mind having the ability to browse through stuff with a bit more organization. The search function works OK but there have been times that is has not worked for me.
