    This fucked me off no end.

    From browsing the Daz galleries over the last month or so, I noticed a few artists having images removed because they were related to the Ukraine conflict. Some of the images, I'd commented on myself and then "oh... where did that go?"

    Daz supposedly have a policy that disallows "overtly" political or politically based images from the gallery which they can then use to flagrantly remove stuff. At least until they can work out how to make a profit from it or come up with some virtue signalling, bullshit bundle that shows they care by the dollar about gender issues, disabilities, minorities or actual war.

    @Shyne - which takes us back to the position of my first comments.
    It's not that the "cause" isn't worthwhile, or that some money goes to CARE, but more the opportunistic and pretentious BS that Daz actually give a toss about the conflict beyond disingenuousness virtue signaling and profit. Daz could have donated money to assist refugees quietly and not in this ostentatious manner.
    Capitalising on cultural moments, particularly those of a tragic nature, by mixing a message of concern with shameless self-promotion is a surefire path to reputation damage. Not that Daz has ever shown much concern when it comes to either its users or customers.

    Nothing, and I mean nothing, shocks me any longer where money is concerned.

    Sorry for dragging up an old post but considering the most recent massacre of innocent children in the US one might expect Daz to do some sort of solidarity thing for victims of gun violence in the US. Perhaps by removing, even if temporarily, some 700 odd gun items from their store.
    But I suspect their claimed social conscience with regard to people being killed by guns in Ukraine wouldn't extend to home (too political) nor would they want to negate the profits gained by selling 3D copies of them.
    Gun deaths were the leading killer of US children last year and this year is looking much worse. If Daz actually actually had any social conscience with regard to violence, forget Ukraine, it should start at home, wouldn't you think?

    I think that would be far too uncomfortable for them to go there. 🙁

    While I think it's a sick tragedy with the lack of any other words to describe how horrible this was

    In the US yearly there are roughly 10000 DUI deaths,100,000 drug related deaths, 40,000 car related deaths,670,000 child abuse cases "reported"

    EST 25,000,000 people effected by human trafficking,

    Removing cars, children, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, vehicles, bondage devices or whatever else you want to link to the crap show that is humanity won't make a difference.

    If the school had 2 armed guards protecting areas of limited accessibility it's doubtful this would have happened. If the police responded effectively instead of screwing around for 40 minutes less children would have died. If classrooms were locked and police ran responds drills to the school regularly this may have been less tragic.

    Blaming a gun is like blaming a car.Blame people. Blame the shooter, his parents,the responders, the school staff, the politicians. You don't blame tanks or planes for a war.

    Had to get that out. Thanks.

    @d0gg0d It took cops 40 minutes to respond as they didn't have the gun superiority, an armed guard ain't going to help (not to mention how much it would end up costing the government to have guards at every school when there is a much cheaper solution). Canada, the UK, Australia all have a similar level of mental health as the US, yet the mass shootings in these places are few and far between.

    Anyways, I feel the gun issue is too much of a hot topic for ZoneGFX as it's just going to lead to fights.

    @Yanoma

    Discussions are nice. It's rare to be allowed to talk anywhere anymore. Kinda sucks for the freedom of speech.

    It was one 18 year old kid against 19 policemen. Whoever was in charge should be charged with something to put him behind bars forever.

    There is an armed guard at the courthouse. Not far after the metal detector there is another guard inside a room. I bet you that you don't make it past the second guard and if I somehow lose that bet, I bet it won't be long before the calvary arrives.

    Some schools in bad cities probably have better security than the airport.

    I try to carry daily if I leave the house. I can't expect superman to fly in and save me if some idiot decides he's tired of life and wants to take out a few people. I've called the police in my area and it has taken them 30 minutes to show up. Think of what can be done to you in 30 minutes. You cant take away the ability for normal people to defend themselves and let criminals do whatever they please. The cities with the toughest gun control laws have the most gun violence and crime. Thats not an accident.

    Politicians have round the clock armed protection. I think they could at least do the same for our children.

    @Ethiopia

    There are countries without people killing each other?

    That would be great till another country came in and killed them all.

    @d0gg0d Every country has violent offenders, but most civilized one started banning guns after mass shootings started, and surprise... mass shootings became really rare.
    It's about how countries handle lowering the ability crazy people have to commit mass carnage, which unsurprisingly is quite easy to do with assault riffles.
    The US however is gun crazy. I mean, you seriously suggested armed people to protect kids as opposed to the much simpler and less scary solution of gun regulation? Gun crazy.
    And FYI, cities or states with tough gun control laws don't mean shit when you can go one state over and pick up a gun with ease.

    some ppl just don't seem to under stand that hand guns and military grade weapons are not needed by the general public they are made for one reason and one reason only and that is to take another persons life . I'm a hunter so I do believe in being able to possess guns (long rifles ) for hunting but only after proper training and vetting and yes they may fall into the wrong hands and take another humans life it has happened in the past and I'm sure the future , but the better the gun control and regulations u have the safer ppl will be just look at statistics in other country's.

    it's all the same . since currency was created man has always tried to cash in on something or someone. money makes the world go round. and if there is people spending might as well try to collect also. people should be worried about all the tax payers money funding the war. if ukraine can survive longer and drag nato into the war we might of just funded the end of civilization as we know it cuz putin not gonna give up and walk away. and if it comes to nuclear war if russia launches north korea and china might launch to and we dont have the nukes to compare to all 3 of them especially with all our money going into an army that might not even survive with our funding.we should pray they come to a cease fire cuz if not we not even gonna beable to render anymore unless you got underground generator for you computer lol.
