....generally doesn't work....ya, I know that. However after reading a few long threads over at We-think-you're-all-suckers-Daz, it turns out that using a Poser dynamic clothing item on the figure it was meant for (usually Vicky Four) in Studio, works fairly well and will dForce mostly fine. Simple dresses or other similar items work best.
This is exactly the kind of item I'm looking at. I love the nice dresses from lilflame and was wondering if anyone has tried it.
    Thanks muchly.

Most of the time they work fine. I love lullys dresses and they dforce really well. Just use the V4 clone to get the initial shape and then in the timeline revert the figure to the one you want.
If you want to use a Dawn dress, that Lully used a lot, then the figure needs to be shrunk a little bit and posed at the initial stage.

Thanks for confirming that. There's a few dresses I want to use on Vicky Four but in Studio.

There might be parts that are not bound. From what I read, it's just a matter of importing in a program like blender and exporting as a single obj. I haven't really seen any except for a few hems here and there that I just delete.
