    Hi

I'm a member formally known as "MoeNative" that recently had my account banned due to a misunderstanding. Just wanted to apologize for any inconvenience my posting may have caused. But I would also like to point out how this situation and future incidents with new and old posters can be avoided if the "F.A.Q" was more clear about what it means to " always check to see if the item you wish to post is not already on ZoneGFX either singly or as part of a larger bundle." the problem is mainly in regard to the "search" function and its relation to the "request" section of the site.

As you may or may not have considered, many users (myself included) have only ever delegated ourselves to the main page or the "public blog" as others would put it. Taking that into account, many of us have only ever used the main search bar to discover whether a product has been posted or not and have no knowledge that the "request" section has its own separate search bar to find if someone had posted or "filled" a product. I would wager that even many of the older users may not have known the main search bar is not unified and have to search both the "public blog" and the request section before proceeding to submit a post. The current F.A.Q fails to mention this and creates a situation for further incidents to happen and cause the banning of old and new posters that were unaware of this fact.

All in all, I'm grateful that this site exists and could never pay back all that I have collected over the years. I hold no ill will and just wanted to clear things up help prevent further confusion from happening.

    Cheers

I've been here a reasonably long time.
Somehow out of all my complaints I've managed not to be banned.
I've seen people take the posts of a dozen other people zip them together and call it a bundle and not get banned. Unless the mods suddenly decided to start going crazy with a ban hammer whatever people do to get banned is probably legit. I can't imagine anyone being banned without a warning unless it's blatantly obvious they should have known better.

I remember when I first joined the site a few years back, I uploaded a female character model and my post got deleted. I couldn't understand why, as it hadn't shown up in search. I tried submitting it again, but the same thing happened. Then I messaged one of the mods, who told me that the model was included in one of the bundles already on site. I apologised and it was all good. I didn't get banned or threatened with a ban.

Are you sure a simple mistake was to blame for your ban?

Yes. I was banned without warning after uploading two items that I searched for before posting on the public blog that had no previous entries there and were not in the "upcoming" either. My suspicions is that the two items were in the "request/fill" section prior to me uploading to the main blog.

This is why I suggested the F.A.Q needs to be more clear about searching both the public section and the request section before posting. "Fills" don't show up in the main search results and could lead to further incidents.

The two items in question were "Vet Clinic for DAZ Studio" and "MD Volleyball Uniform Greece for GF8"

It could have been suspected that you were one of the people who requested the item, then posted it to the blog against the express wishes of the person who filled the request. That has happened more than once, where someone will request an item, then get it filled, and immediately post it to the blog as their own.

That's unfortunate. I don't know how difficult this would be to implement, but if their was a way to automate the process of graduating fills to the upcoming section without human input it would mitigate alot of this. It would also help new or inexperienced posters from getting caught in the cross fire.

There is an automated way of doing so. People who fill requests are free to choose not to do so for whatever reason. You're still obligated to respect their wishes in not posting it publicly (for a period of time. I feel after a month or two it's fair game.)

I agree with Bofadeez a month is a good period of time to wait. Unless of course you bought the product and didn't get it filled by the filler. If you bought the product and it's not going to the blog, then yeah, put it up.

Yes, I bought the two items directly from the render hub vendor and decided to post them here out of gratitude of the community. but it's important to note that I posted unaware that these items were already shared privately. If a mod or admin are willing to entertain this, I'm willing to privately share a screenshot of my Render hub receipt of the two items as well as various other items I wanted to share before I was banned to prove my copy was legitimate and not Ill gotten.

I did the same thing once. I did a search and didn't find either product listed. I posted both only to find out both were already on here. Kinda sux because that was one reason I picked them up. However I wasn't banned for it. I've no idea why you'd be banned without a mod allowing you to explain.
Not saying it's not possible but it just seems unlike them.

It's likely the person who shared privately are buddies with one of the mods and got me banned without warning. Unfortunate. But from my understanding, this seemed to have been an ongoing issue of requesters sharing items against the wishes of the fillers and I've been mistaken as being among the requesters and became a casualty. I suppose the question then becomes " if a user buys an item and wishes to share it publicly and is oblivious that item was already shared with a group privately and had no normal means of finding out that it was, does the user reserve the right to post it publicly?" Seems to create a "grey" area at that point. But again, I think the easiest fix for this would be to add "filled" items to the public blog search results the instant they are filled. I assume their are users who wish for their items not be visible to the public, which can be counter productive. Visibility should be your goal so future posters know that your item is already on the blog and won't make the mistake of posting it again due to the site not making it visible enough.

All in all guys I just wanted to clear the air on what truly that happened and provide some input on how this site could improve to help this not happen to others. Even if this doesn't result in restoring my account, the evidence of my RH purchases is still on the table for any mod/admin that wishes to see it. Just DM me and I'll provide it.

    Peace and blessings

If you bought it, and the private filler wasn't putting there's to the blog, then you shouldn't have been banned.

I've complained about the share but not share ridiculousness and it was supposed to be fixed by having the product being allowed to share after a certain time frame has passed.

This again has happened to me but I did not receive the item. Some items were requested in a bounty " I was not part of". I put out a personal bounty to make them public but it was not filled. I personally brought the items and posted them. I remember one was an environment. This was back when point hoarding and milking people for points was starting to peak and all this share but don't share nonsense started.

I wasn't banned though. So perhaps you did irk someone with connections. Contact Hunter and plead your case.

We'll see what happens with me as I just did something similar.
An asset was filled in the Request, but wasn't being moved to the blog. The asset however was dirt cheap, so I bought it and set it to go to the blog (Just waiting for approval).
It's a shame we can't see assets waiting to be approved. Because the asset was so cheap (and new), other people might have also bought it and set it to go to the blog.

@yanoma You can see assets that are waiting to be approved. Just go to the Request section, go to the box on the top left that says ''All'' and select ''Filled'' from the drop down menu. Not all of the ''Filled'' items make it onto the blog, and the original filler has first refusal to fill the request publicly, if they so choose. So, if you see items in the ''Filled'' section, don't post the same thing to the blog, or it will get deleted.
