I really don't know how to actually put this into words.
But look at the pic as I try my best to explain.I detached a small building from a larger obj file but the movement gizmo is still alligned to the old obj and is really far away and so is the detached building from the center (zero) of the scene. For reference I have a cone at the center.
Can I perhaps do something within DAZ where this movement gizmo centers around the newly detached object...other than saving it as a prop and re importing?
I hope it makes sense O_O
July 19, 2023 at 11:49 AM #2001157Someone on the daz forums has asked about this too, here's the answer they got:
1. Select the object.
2. use the joint editor and Tool settings.
3. in Tool settings, adjust the Center point xyz positions to place the origin in the center of the object.

I'll try that as soon as I can!Thank you Abad.
Yeah this is a single obj I created from Kitbash3d's massive obj...so I was kind of wondering how to actually make it more ..manageable.July 20, 2023 at 9:05 AM #2001637You're welcome, Chatur. It's actually a problem I struggled with a while back, too.
July 21, 2023 at 3:18 PM #2002340It's funny how people are more helpful here than the official forums. Thanks again it worked perfectly when I tried!
July 21, 2023 at 6:17 PM #2002418In the official forums they are doubting you paid for the product. Here, we already know you didn't, lol.
July 22, 2023 at 6:31 AM #2002537lol could be. 😀
July 22, 2023 at 6:55 AM #2002539Want some fun just go to the Poser forums and ask about G8 vs La Femme.
July 22, 2023 at 8:45 AM #2002558@ashtkon , you could download content from Daz, Rendo, etc... from other "pirate" websites.
No registration required..., no points...
But there is one thing that sets ZoneGFX apart: Forums where people participate, share intelligence, help, advice, and for nothing.
And that is priceless.
It is the added value that this site has. A smart site for smart people. -
