Some people seems to make fake dead link report on working bunkr link for some reason.
I dont have all day to reupload perfectly working link just because someone reported it.
Can we have a functionality for the original poster to counter report it if the link is still working, to remove the warning and notify a mod to check the link and penalize this kind of behavior please?April 9, 2023 at 9:08 AM #1954182The plus functionality is not my table, but those are just notifications 🙂 and sadly a lot of people report still working links for "idiototic" reasons. For example: when there are multiple links and their favorite host isn't working... or when they can't read that USE AN ADBLOCKER ON BUNKR, then they download an .exe from there...
Currently, my best advice is to use these when you need, at the end of the "Post Body" - in the upload form:
----------------------------------------
(Remove the 3x * from the img tags before you paste it into the Post Body)

----------------------------------------

April 9, 2023 at 12:00 PM #1954336thanks I will add that to my post in the future.
Wont the post get sent to dead post in 5 days if I just leave it like that with the still working link?April 9, 2023 at 2:46 PM #1954391I don't believe a reported link will cause the post to go dead by itself. It seems to need a human verification, because i've had posts reported that were good, and they never went down, and one instance I has someone at ZG message me and said the link was good and it stayed up. And then on other occasions when a link really was dead and hundreds reported it, the post still stayed up until many hours later (I assume until a human verified it dead and removed it). But this is speculation because many times the actual process of this is handled has been brought up in the forums, but it's never been answered for some reason as if its a guarded secret.

April 9, 2023 at 6:06 PM #1954445One may hope they have some kind of statistics and know the users who are new and/or often report broken links.
Staff knows who is unlocking and downloading content and as long one doesn't click on 'Report Broken Link' they hopefully assume that the link works fine. They could hold back the broken link reports until 3 users in a row report it.PS: I had a strange issue with Mega. One of their SSL certificates has expired and I couldn't download from them (I accepted it finally in Edge which still allows this). This might have been geolocation specific so it is possible that downloads are broken for users depending on the actual download servery they use. Anyhow in this case there's nothing the uploader can do.
April 9, 2023 at 7:51 PM #1954486I can confirm, the reported posts need staff intervention to end up in the Dead section 🙂
April 13, 2023 at 2:32 AM #1955891I was getting the fake dead link reports frequently for a while, then they became less frequent. More recently I've been receiving them from new members who have never contributed anything to the site. They just log in every day for their 100 points and download 1 or 2 things.
Also, many of my dead link reports happen then I have between 3 and 5 working links.
May 15, 2023 at 3:04 PM #1971567@Warrant63 One of my post ended up (mso alba) getting deleted even though the link is still valid.

when you post something, you should be able to see the other post in the verification queue (Pending for Approval) on the right..
