Im no expert but the first things I notice are

    IMHO...

The light from the right side is very strong. Rather than just separate it from the background it draws my eye to it and its my primary focus. Once I saw it I cant unsee it.

The background looks more like a painting than an environment. If that was the goal, then never mind.

The hair on the left doesn't appear to be affected by gravity. It may be the wind

Minor hair clipping but nothing major

Overall I like it. Id rather see more space in front of her than behind her. It appears you sacrificed wanting to show all of her swords than what is in front of her.

Love the skin and the overall lighting. Yeh the background could be a bit better. Next time if you use this background use DOF so it's out of focus. For a newbie it's pretty damn good.

I'm agree with ADAM about this sword thing. I like your first render. Much better than my first before years. 🙂

yes! it didn't occur to me to use DOF until after the fact. I used a "fantasy" background that was probably too cartoony for this piece.

Thank you everyone for your kind words, too ♥

I did most of the lighting in photoshop so if it's coming from the wrong direction that's because I'm still not good at judging where the light comes from. I love rim lighting though and this looked like it needed it 😀
