Can we all agree that downloading from this guy's site is an absolute CHORE? Holy crap he makes it such a game to click on every little thing. WE GET IT. You want us to buy stuff. We do. (usually <_<)
July 23, 2022 at 12:05 AM #1834207He's always done that.
The one-pose-at-a-time thing is the funniest.
July 23, 2022 at 12:33 AM #1834214Yeah, I've noticed that over the years. But jeez... Just using the site in general is a chore.
July 23, 2022 at 6:43 AM #1834266Actually I don't even bother visting his site anymore, the stuff he offers isn't even worth a look.
July 23, 2022 at 4:27 PM #1834422There's stuff on his site that I can find uses for by switching up their looks with assorted shaders and integrating them with other clothing to make interesting outfits. I do a lot of mix and match stuff like that. Every now and then there's needful practical props, but the whole site just feels like it was designed to make a person hate every single second of interacting with it. Why is it so clunky???

Agreed
top ten worst 3D modeling commerce sites. Its due for an overhaul. It looks like it was put together in the mid 1990s Web era.Possibly made with "my space" tools.
July 25, 2022 at 2:58 AM #1834873I fell like he's doing it deliberately at this point. For what reason, though, I couldn't tell you. Other than to just make sure he gets as many eyeballs on his ads as possible, which is silly because a user came to his site in the first place so they don't need to be so aggressively advertised to. Otherwise, it discourages wanting to use the site for more than a few minutes at a time.
July 25, 2022 at 3:00 AM #1834874Seriously, the site screams of circa 1998 web design and even then I remember some sites back then being designed WAY better than that. Hell, as a kid I USED to design sites for fun and I knew to make a more streamlined experience than what he has. That's bad when an 11 year old is more informed on web design than an adult.
July 25, 2022 at 3:01 AM #1834875Oh man, Geocities and Netscape. Netscape had a WYSIWYG HTML editor integrated into it and I would build sites in that. I had a Geocities account too. I never got the city I wanted for my host. I wanted Tokyo.
July 25, 2022 at 11:21 PM #1835246Can we all agree that whatever this Adam Thwaites sells is a total ripoff?
The most ridiculous products are those horrific "celebrity series" jokes. They ALL look almost the same and no "celebrity" can be recognized whatsoever. As for the clothing section, one can safely summarize that the creator is very, very lazy.July 26, 2022 at 10:08 PM #1835604Much of what he models is extremely basic, but I find uses for it by kitbashing it with other things and layering the clothes under or over stuff and using shaders to improve the appearance. The celeb stuff isn't the worst to me. I don't have any use for it but there's some faces that I recognise as certain celebs. I just saw one the other day that looked like Cara Delevingne. All that said, SOMEONE seems to like his stuff because he's been in business forever and his stuff gets plenty of shares on the various sites out there.
July 27, 2022 at 9:47 PM #1836029Honestly I don't have any problems with the quality of the stuff he models. Some is a little cheesy or just not useful to me. But he's made some useful clothes that I'd like to download. It's just, once again, the site design. Awful, tedious, terrible. For absolutely no reason.
