Awesome guy @Recktat19 just converted an 8.1 to 8 for me. Well worth the points. Love that everyone here helps each other out.
That's impressive as conversion can be quite hard. Been trying to convert an older 8 skin up to 8.1 (I really want the new skin details) and I just can't seem to get the same SSS. No matter how much I mess with it, I can't get the light to scatter around the tip of the nose or the ears like it does with the 8 model.
AstReiner just posted two freebies in Renderosity's 3d models freestuff that let you use 8.1 textures on G8 characters. (not linking for safety's sake)

@strangebricks I haven't tried it yet, but it does look very limited.
One big thing I appreciate about this site is the courteous and amiable behaviour of its members. We're much better at that than the forums on the pay sites.
Even Grouchy Old Fart is never grouchy, and I've only had to issue this once...

But yeah, this family rocks. Lots of niche talents here, and all go by "sharing is caring", both with resources and abilities.

Seriously. There's so many outfits that I just want a part of but I'd never pay Daz's ridiculous prices for. I suppose their current scam of splitting every outfit into bits and then bundling is better for that, but geeze louise what a rip-off (I know somebody complained about it before but I can't find the thread now)
