Hi. Anyone else having big issues with Daz 4.14? The loading times are absolutely nuts. It takes 2-4 minutes to delete a character from a scene. Daz 4.12 deletes a character in ~10-30 seconds. Also, the merge overwrites your existing environment and tonemapping options.
January 14, 2021 at 3:46 PM #1658367Eh? I was on 4.14 and never notice an issue with deletion time. The loading time for g8f is the same for me but thats cause I have a lot of morphs.
Want to try to upgrade to 4.15 to see if it helps at all?
January 14, 2021 at 3:53 PM #1658369In all theory, 4.14 (and 4.15) should be faster than 4.12 (in pretty much every aspect). So if you're experiencing a lot of slowdowns, something else is amiss, I'd say.
What hardware? Latest drivers? Also, have you done the menu merges and such? As for the environment and tonemapping options, that happens, yes, but that is also why you save edited render settings and reload those after updating.
January 14, 2021 at 4:12 PM #1658373I will be trying 4.15 soon. What menu merges?
Saving the render settings after each new scene tweaking is a lot of hassle which did not exist prior to 4.14.
January 14, 2021 at 7:45 PM #1658397I just installed 4.15 and the deletion process is instant now. I don't know what the problem is with 4.14... Still, I hope they do something about the environment and tonemapping in the future.
January 15, 2021 at 12:21 PM #16585694.14 was the crappiest version of DS in a while. DAZ quality control is really going downhill recently. I went back to 4.12, which was a good, stable, functional version.
January 15, 2021 at 12:47 PM #1658583And also was missing important improvements. I've had zero issues with 4.14, but then I'm also on the Beta version, since that one actually gets improvements and bugfixes before the stable one.
January 26, 2021 at 1:53 PM #1661469I have used all versions since 4.10 and can say that 4.12.0.86 (not later ones) is still more functional than the 4.14 or 4.15 versions.
After using 4.14 and 4.15 had to downgrade to 4.12. Lucky that I had older versions saved for this.
