I just grabbed this:

And it have a button "Hide Legs" in the folder, but when I use it (on char or the tentacles) it does... nothing.
Is the download maybe missinf giles?, the content of the .duf file looks very very short:

Well Okay.... sounds like you are Pissed, I dont know why...
But, the simple solution would be, you go to your Product Library and check the files, maybe the Author created a patch or something:

Other users posted Images and all was fine, so I just assume the files you offered are not correct working...
I tested it on G8M and G8F and both didnt hide anything.You have been informed that an item you uploaded [or filled a request for?] does not seem to be working.

You have been given some ideas to pursue - it does not take a genius to figure them out.
I was recently informed that an item I posted had some texture issues.
Did I rant at the person informing me? NO...
I checked to raise a ticket with DS / found the DeviantArt page of the creator [and left him details] / and installed the product to test for myself [and did a basic test render to show the member my results].You have not even mentioned if you have installed the item - and that should be your first thought, to check the problem out.
Stop whining about what you are 'how do you think I should react' - and actually offer some help to solve it [unless all you care about is getting points for crap and no interest in the members providing points for it].I just tried both of them and its working fine for me... uninstall it and reinstall it to see if it works and I manually installed mine I didn't use the daz install manager
@fuzzy3000 thanks. The problem with Products I down own, getting support from official site is, I had it one time, I asked the support and they said "we could not find the product in your Lib..." hell these derps are checking if I even own it :/
After that I just stopped the conversation. So i try to ask here...
@nightreaper, how did you made it?
I had my char, loaded the tentacles and then selected my char and clicked Hide Legs, and... nothing changed :/
Maybe it doesnt work on all shapes/bodys?
Or is it maybe only visible in iray?@spankyboy I just loaded the basic g8 figure and pressed hide legs then loaded the tentacles
@Nightreaper thanks, I tested it at your order and... holy moly that looks spooky!
Its all somehow deformed 😮
my own solution was: I made all from the butt and below just invisible (clicking the eye). The positive thing: If you hide the body parts (instead of morphing!) you do 1. not! load the textures + not the Geo = Renderspeed !
So the shape is not a good solution.I assume it did not worked, because it is a shape and shapes doesnt load/work without restart, I installed it during my daz3d was open.
Other optuion: load a new char, that will refresh the Sliders in the shape region. I had that with expressions already, they require to reload a char or to restart the engine.I will close this thread if it gets any more rude than it already has. No reason to insult one another here.
I must leave it open because the question hasn't been solved yet.
Just let's keep the forums civil.

And hide Legs is a worse option, I expected it "hides" it, but it does shrink them 😉
I amde a render test with just an HDRI and that saved 2Seconds (naked body, no clothes etc), 2secs+ some MB ram 😉here's my quick render @spankyboy.....
