    If you have Hagar for Genesis 8 Female

    you will notice that the face, arms and legs look too big when rendered. Here is the fix:

    1) With the model selected, go to Surfaces, and search for displacement

    2) Set both Maximum Displacement and Minimum Displacement to 0.10

    That’s it!

    Is there a way to save this to the figure itself or not possible.

    Save the fixed figure to your library as a Scene file or a Scene Subset and just load the figure from there. The texture/shader adjustment will be saved along with the character.

    Is it just me or is there an issue with the eyebrows as well? I loaded her earlier and they were all over the place.

    Here's the Daz thread. Apparently, the vendor is working on a fix.

    Personally, I wouldn't actually blame the vendor, but I don't understand how this got approved for sale in the reported state.
    I thought Daz's testing was supposed to be superior to the likes of 'Rosity & other stores.

    Who knows eelgoo. It's Daz don't question them lmao. Anyways, I am using Hagar for some renders. Unfortunately, the dev hasn't provided the Genital textures. Can someone see if he ever provided with any updates or no? Or if someone knows. Sucks to not have them hah.

    Just use this tool

    GenTorso UV for G8F by suGeorgeSu

    Works for me just about every time. Takes 15 seconds once you get the clicks down and it's free.

    @ulysses hey now, I just gave it a read. I am unsure if I understand the steps fully. Do you think you could do a little step by step guide here for me? Or show me around how to follow the steps.

    I can't understand this step first.
    3/ Select a Genesis 8 Female Base Genitalia

    Is that asking me to load a Genesis 8 Base Female, load the genitalia and then the skin textures from Hagar or what?

    EDIT: Never mind. Got it. Gotta load the model and the textures on the model first, with the Genitals. And then follow those steps. Pretty straightforward. Works really good hah.

    EDIT2: Nada, doesn't look all that good once rendered. Looks fine from the front. Backside is a mess. And once rendered it doesn't look all that good hmm

    @raex-d

    the instructions are in the comments of the product page:

    Basically they are-

    1. Make sure you have placed the G8GenTorso.dsf data file in the g8f gens UV data folder of your DAZ content library (usually 'My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female Genitalia\UV Sets'). That's where the .dsf has to be.

    2. Start up DAZ Studio and load a G8f figure/character.

    3. Load the G8f genitalia onto the figure.

    4. Use the "Surface Selection Tool" (either select it from the top activity bar or use the Alt+Shift+M key shortcut). Then click on the torso of the figure in the scene viewport. A yellow line will appear on the scene viewport around the torso of the figure.

    5. Go to the 'surface tab' and open the 'surface' pane. The torso of the figure should be highlighted (most of the time, using the Surface Selection Tool will open this automatically). If it isn't, select your figure, then surfaces, then find the torso subsurface and click on it. After you get the 'torso' surface selected, right click your mouse while hovering over the highlighted 'torso' item and then select 'copy selected surfaces'.

    6. After you have copied the torso surface, use the Surface Selection Tool again and select the genitalia in the scene viewport. A yellow line will appear around the gen and the surface tab should now change to the "Genesis 8 Female Genitalia" surface with the 'Genitalia' subsurface highlighted. Hover your mouse over the highlighted gen subsurface and right click and then select "Paste Selected Surface(s)". The gen will then change color, but it won't look right because you have applied the entire torso subsurface onto the gen, which provides a distorted surface.

    7. With the gen surface still highlighted, move down the surface menu (to the right of the surface) until you find the 'UV Set' button. It will display "Default UVs" and there should be a down arrow next to that. Click on that arrow. A list of the available UVs for that item (in this case, the gens) will display. One of them will be the 'G8GenTorso' UV. If you put the .dsf into the correct folder (in step 1 above), it will be there. If it isn't, then you will either need to restart Studio and possibly refresh your database or you didn't install the .dsf in the correct folder.

    8. Select G8GenTorso from the UV Set list. Your gen should now display the gen texture that he figure came with, but applied over the G8F genitalia. It works every time I have tried it.

    After doing it a couple of times, it's very easy. Good luck.

    @ulysses I have tried it up and it works fine. But as my EDIT2 says above, it doesn't look all that good on closer look. I'll update with pics. Front might be fine but not the backside... If you get what I mean to say.

    Here's the images. https://ibb.co/album/B2jkYw
    S1 = GenTorso UV for G8F
    S2 = I had a different character product and had it's own UVs. This one's with that.

    @raex-d,

    I don't use this for close up renders (I don't do many of those tbh). I use golden palace for that and use the gen mat matching tool that comes with it.

    How good is their matching tool? I haven't tried it yet but I thought only the default gen materials might match the best with it. That's why I was looking for the default ones.

    the GenTorso UV only puts the default UV of the character's torso you have selected on top of the gens that you add on, so it won't have the detail for close up rendering I don't think.

    The matching tool of golden palace works for close up renderings. But the default mats will probably always be the best IF the AP included them. The GenTorso UV tool is used when the figure doesn't have gen mats included.
