    Hey folks,

First of all, sorry in advance. I checked a lot of tutorials so that I can avoid this question but not a single one of them gave me the answer and I experienced a lot of frustration and time so I hope, that someone is gracious and will help me with this issue.

My goal is actually very simple: I just want to import a person I've downloaded here in Daz3d Studio. 1:1 that's it!
I just want the person to look exactly as on the picture.
My problem is, I import the person and it looks like a wax figure. So I checked tutorials and they say, go to edit and surface. Klick on the small square next to the color slider and apply the skin.
Okay, but which skin? The face alone has three or four different files (dark, silver, color etc.). I added them all and it looks like shit (wrong button? Wrong order? )and not even similar to the model which is shown here.

My basic question is, is there a tutorial or can someone help me to import a person from here 1:1 into Daz3d?
I'm not asking for changing the dimensions, clothes, scenes, pose or expressions etc. There are tutorials for this.
I just want to import the model 1:1. Not a single tutorial showed this process in detail (with the appropriate skin hair etc.) Thank you guys.

I don't know if I'm undertanding the problem...
You managed to load the figure into DAZ3d, ok?
then you'v got that character in the 'zero pose', and it should have all the textures loaded.
You are looking the figure in the main view. There is a selector where you choose how to see it. Choose texture shaded.
This is your working space. To see the figure with all the quality, you must RENDER the image (CTRL+R). First renders will give you a poor image, keep on working until you get the look you're looking for.
If this is not the answer, upload a picture to see what is happening exactly.

Thank you guys for the answers. That has helped me and I was able to “render” the model so that the true view appeared. I obviously had the wrong expectation with regard to DAZ3D. I thought it would be possible to have a 3D view with the real skin etc.
It is obviously only possible to render the current screen. A 3D view isn’t possible anymore and is only possible without the rendering process, right?

Depends on how good a system you have. In the to right section you can click wire, box, texture, ect... If you click the last one it will render on the fly. It is a pretty close estimate of the final render but you can click a setting in the left sided under render options that will still render on the fly but with less detail. I think its called interactive.

I use these to adjust lighting

@3drose, you can select 'Nvidia iray' in the viewport settings and it will render the window as you're working. It's a little resource intensive though, so don't use it all the time.

    @evilmonkey

Could you please post a SS for him showing
where interactive is under the render menu.

Just remember to turn it off before you render.
