That “don’t steal my stolen stuff” discussion is indeed kind off funny.

And on top of it, every other post in the discussion tells us that this is the elite sharing site - “leechers be gone from our select circle” - but the same people claim that every other site sucks. So, what do you think will happen? Every leecher is stopping just because you say so? Sure. Either they find a way to get access to zone as you are finding ways to share stuff even if Daz & co. try to stop you. Or other sites are not worse than this one and people are just migrating to where the access is easier. In the end, you have nothing to win.

And another thing: There has still been no explanation where the points are supposed to come from now that the login bonus is gone.

What fills the collective pool of points (the sum of points on all user accounts)?

We have a constant drain in for of the 50% tax on “buying” access to blog posts.

We have an infrequent inflow with sign up bonus, an even more infrequent bonus with the referral links, the points bought for money (probably a rather limited amount) and the 10 points for a blog post.

With the login bonus, we had a significant inflow … for 5000 people logging in every day, it would have been 500k points every day. Is that really compensated with the remaining sources? Personally, I doubt it. In a few weeks, months or maybe a year, the pool will likely run dry. People will offer less points for posts, people will have less points to “buy” posts and request items. The whole system will crash.

I have to say that I’m not a big fan of removing the login bonus. It might not be a big deal for people who spend a lot of time on the site, but for casual users like myself, it makes things rather complicated.

If getting rid of farming accounts is the goal, I would suggest some other approach: Limit the login bonus to people who have been registered for a longer period like 6 month or a year. I doubt that people will wait that long to regain access if they get caught and their account was suspended. And even if they would register new accounts and wait patiently, you could add another layer and check if a new account has been active at all before you activate the login bonus.

This would minimize low effort farming without punishing people who are not super active.
