I admit that it is not “normal software” - This is a very strange thing to say - I think that ZBrush is THE most ABNORMAL software on the planet 🙂
I loooooooooooooove Rhino - Yeah, I don't do industrial design work but its absolutely perfect for all the engineering type stuff I do.
I use Rhino 12-16 hours a day. I use it for everything, 2D, 3D, laser cutting, CNC, renders. I wrote a couple of Python programs to handle my auto costing etc. Rhino is x1000 more than a CAD drawing application. The programming language api is amazing and it can be fully automated using Grasshopper etc. I've even seen people control industrial robots using Rhino and Grasshopper. I use a 3DConnexion SpaceMouse Enterprise along with Rhino (and in Daz and ZBrush). The 6 axis mouse is worth 10x its weight in gold - I cannot imagine working in cad without being able to move the object independently from the mouse. @Abad - buy a SpaceMouse - the device puts Rhino on a totally new level. Here is my analogy of the 6 axis mouse - when you don't have it then you are flying a plane with elevator and rudder only - when you have it you are flying a helicopter with all its flight controls in both your hands simultaneously.
Yeah....I keep making the mistake of voicing an opinion!

I come from a background where policy decisions are made and enforced by site administrators. The difficulty with approaching people directly regarding policy based matters is that one doesn't know what the standard policy is regarding a matter or whether a policy exists a all. One runs the risk of annoying the other person if they are already adhering to a standard policy - hence me posting here highlighting my concerns regarding the matter. I prefer to express my concerns openly in the forum in the hope that "the powers that be" see the concerns and do with it as they see fit.
It is not my place to tell others in this group what they should do or how they should do it - I am merely a little user from a hole in the wall country that recognized something that is problematic and that a possible policy amendment might be required if "the powers that be"

The point that I am trying to make is that this is not about me or them - it is about a general problem that requires a general remedy for the benefit of the entire community. My aim was simply to highlight that posting large numbers of huge files as a complete set is not really viable unless it is done in a Torrent. I thought my highlighting this problem would lead to the creation some sort of policy regarding this matter.
Again, please accept my apology - my little wobbly was uncalled for!
