People miss a fundamental issue - The only point at which you become aware that a google SHARE is used is AFTER YOU PAID. You cannot avoid it because you do not know up front. If I am able to see that a link is a google SHARE I would NEVER BUY it - I would simply avoid the download altogether. I have ZERO reason to log on to any site to download from here and I choose NOT to do so - even if I have to lose my PAYMENT now and then.

@Frank21 "Either way I can’t do that because I don’t have an account nor any desire to have one. It’s like the Win 11 bullshit forcing you to have a Microsoft account….. fuck off big brother… this sort of data mining should be made illegal."

    My sentiments exactly!

I think that the problem occurs when people inadvertently share the google drive item in a manner which forces the "downloader" to log into google to access the download. 99% of Google shares don't have the issue - it only seems to happen now and then.

Exactly the point - DirtyHarry and frank.
The only point at which you become aware that a google SHARE is used is AFTER YOU PAID.

Which is why I suggested a field that the uploader MUST complete - to show where it is hosted.
If you have had issues with that site, or dislike it for whatever reason, you can avoid it - before you are forced to pay points and the hassle of getting them back [not really a lot of hassle, but why add to the stress?].

    🙂

I paid for another FAILED Google Drive link: hy-sporty-outfit-for-genesis-8-and-8-1-females

We really need to be able to see that we are about to purchase a Google Link so that we can totally avoid the purchase.
