Trash Talker PM <---- Click that to see note.
I understand I'm suppose to expect criticism but I don't think this private response is expected to improve my use of Daz3D. What it would do is motivate a person to no longer participate in any competitions online.
Also it would be better if you would at least tell me which female individual you're talking about? More information is always better...
September 28, 2018 at 10:19 am #780097If you rely on others opinions of your work for motivation then you better stop and get a day job right now buster, as your not doing this for the right reasons.
September 28, 2018 at 10:34 am #780121@masin First, that's not a PM. You can see that if you look at the "replied to" which is RIGHT above the comment. it's not for you, it's a comment on the request thread about a G3F "real life" asset... it helps to be able to work out how a forum works...
September 28, 2018 at 12:03 pm #780191I stand corrected then.
September 28, 2018 at 12:06 pm #780195@masin, you are so right. those days are gone. Or are they? I had joined another group that splintered from a certain file-sharing site and for the longest time it went well. To make a long story short, I'm more than humbled to be part of this community of persons learning and bettering their 3d Art and actually sharing content and not just take-take-take-talk-trash-my-shit-don't-stink. Because like it or not, we all have so much in common. I will admit I get a bit upset when someone from ZoneGFX says something that I take out of context. But guess what? When I do something similar to what I'm criticizing them for what do I look like? not only a fool but a hypocrite. Believe me MANY of the banned/terminated threads here have my name/opinions on it. I say what I choose to say and if in the process I hurt or offend someone, then I do apologize and let it go. This is our ZoneGFX; a place for Art and the appreciation and sharing thereof. We all have other places we can be at the moment. I'm glad we have this moment; I'm glad we have this place. I'm humbled to be here but more importantly I'm honored you are all here as well. Okay 64 hours to get your entries in.
The next thread (2) will be the voting thread - we'll keep it to votes only. BUT the result
The results/critique thread (3) will be for comments and critiques where we can talk schmack and take schmack. Thank you @errilhl and @hawkeye and @d0gg0d and @masin for helping out one another.September 28, 2018 at 12:09 pm #780196Forum navigation as well as email navigation is odd on this site. This is the only forum I follow so not seeing the reply in here explains why they didn't explain which female they were criticizing.
Everything was taken out of context. Sorry.
September 28, 2018 at 12:17 pm #780203Yeah it took me a bit of courage to post something up on here. But the title of the project was just so interesting I had to try to post something up. My computer is no where near good enough to render something grand and I only started using Daz3D about 3 to 4 months ago. So I'm kind behind the curb.
What I'm looking to get out of this is the tricks and the trades of using this app. It's one thing to download tons of items but to not be able to use it in a nice way is just pointless.
Right now I'm struggling with Lighting and Render times. But at the moment I only have a ATI card so doing stuff is very very time consuming....
September 28, 2018 at 4:43 pm #780464I really hope that the results/critique thread will also allow critiques of works other than the three winners. I'd love some feedback.

He is a pictoral depiction of some of the things that have inspired me over the years!
September 30, 2018 at 1:59 am #782183@tomsk love it
September 30, 2018 at 2:29 am #782208
Perhaps I will title my next contest, "What Inspires Me?" because with @Tomsk's entry I am reminded as to what continues to motivate me - All you talented Artists here on ZoneGFX!
If you are planning on getting your entry in, you have a little more than 25 hours to do so. I have this set up in a way that will resemble the contest Judging (2) thread which I've placed in the order they were submitted in. Thank you all.September 30, 2018 at 3:50 pm #782918What inspired me to start messing around with DAZ 3D was the availability of so many models that I could put into weird situations. I started out just trying to put things together to be odd or creepy. 🙂 I got Reality when v2.x was released and I still prefer it over IRAY for most things.
I'm not done with this one yet, but it's called "Bath Night":
September 30, 2018 at 4:27 pm #782965The Film ISO was too high on that one. Here's a better version:
September 30, 2018 at 4:59 pm #783004Very nice image, and is that some Oshikai I see?! That creature looks like "Horror! from the deep!"
September 30, 2018 at 5:11 pm #783016Yep. It's Horror from the Deep. I haven't decided which skin to use, so it's all black right now. That thing is fun to pose. I used FluidOS for the splashes. The bathroom is Digitallab3d Apartment Bathroom, which was extremely white, so I'm adding materials to some of it, like the furniture and shower curtain. The babies are all Sixus1 Baby for G8F. I haven't found a good camera angle and FluidOS simulation frame that gives a good view of all 3 yet, but it's the last day of the month, so I uploaded this one. 🙂
