It's Saturday evening (at least for me) so I've got a bowl of popcorn, a couple of alcohol free beers (mild colitis means I should avoid the booze) and a great old movie. tonight it's Ron Perlman as Hellboy. The second one (The Golden Army) is my favourite. I'm surprised that some of those great monsters where never made in Daz or Poser. The golden army soldiers would have been popular I'm sure. Then there's the 'Evil Dead' series. We should be introducing the kids to that stuff. Some of the old movies where hilarious.

Like sex wearing a condom or shaking hands with glove on π .... so weak.
October 13, 2024 at 10:49 AM #2095380It's better than spending the next day going to the can every few minutes. And I defy you to tell the difference between Erdinger's alcoholic and no-booze versions.
October 13, 2024 at 10:57 AM #2095381Then drink tea.
October 13, 2024 at 11:26 AM #2095386I do but I have a limit on that. It's funny/odd/interesting that I can eat the hottest and spiciest stuff and it doesn't bother me but one 'real' beer or too much tea and I'm glued to the can the next day. My doctor mentioned that she's looking into the fecal transplant (look it up) as it's been quite successful in curing colitis and similar gut problems.
October 13, 2024 at 3:13 PM #2095436Far as home remedies go I know drinking twice a day 125ml shots of Cabbage Juice after meals is supposed to be excellent for Colitus or similar digestive issues, many who suffer swear by it as symptoms settler.
October 13, 2024 at 4:19 PM #2095441Homeopathy, naturopathy and other home remedy hocus-pocus mumbo-jumbo has been scientifically proven many times to be completely useless and in some cases, dangerous. Our lifespans have increased substantially in the past century because of what we've learned about lifestyles AND modern medicine. I listen to real, honest to goodness doctors, NOT some delusional idiot trying to pass off cleverly packaged snake oil as medicine. These practitioners are no different than ancient peoples dancing around a fire mumbling magic words and throwing chicken bones into the fire.
I watched a team of doctors save my wife from the worst form of leukemia there is. It took a bone marrow transplant and numerous rounds under apheresis, but she's been completely cured for 7 years now. If she'd have gone to some screwball homeopath she'd be dead.October 13, 2024 at 4:58 PM #2095444Alright calm down, no need to get on the soap box to jump and scream out your opinion...
October 13, 2024 at 6:02 PM #2095453This isn't an opinion, it's cold hard scientific facts. People die because they believe this shit. The tale from the UK with the British medical service is a serious eye opener.
October 13, 2024 at 6:06 PM #2095454A bit late to this. I spent most of yesterday out with friends but then my gf and I watched the new ghostbusters movie and had korean bbq. Neither of us are drinkers but we did have some weed while we were out beforehand.
Pretty decent movie. I like McKenna Grace's character, she reminds me of myself a lot.
October 13, 2024 at 8:36 PM #2095482The Ghostbusters series has always been pretty good. The newer ones don't have that fresh originality of the first one but are still a good chuckle.
October 13, 2024 at 9:51 PM #2095488Ghostbusters 2016 should be used as a torture device similar to Clockwork Orange brainwashing scene. It has to be one of the worst remakes ever to pollute cinema.
