@para: You don't have to scribble/splatter/graffiti all over a texture to mark it, you just need to go into it's properties and add a note to it, much sneakier that way.
it worked the same, I have always shared here, but when you ask for something not to be shared until others have had a chance before it goes up, then you expect for people to do that.
@para I don't understand the concept? Seriously? I've probably shared shit online since before you owned a computer... I understand that an asset was shared. It got shared again. And for some reason, you thought it alright to fuck over that asset for some personal gripe with someone / about something.
And now, because the "trap" worked, you're avoiding sharing the actual, working content... because... why?
"Ethics of different places"... you're pirates. Ethics does not really play into it, apart from share shit properly. Gripe about things on your own server / own site / own tracker / whatever. As @donk said, there are ways to mark shit that doesn't fuck everyone else over as well.
Asking people to do something... sure. Honor among thieves, and all that. And I agree, if someone took it before you had a chance to do it yourself, sure, that is a bit sucky. But now that suckiness has spread - which is NOT an okay thing.
its already been shared, so why should i reshare something that is already here? the file was fixed by another person who also bought it. And the suckiness shared, well, that was shared by some one other than me, I didn't post it in the wild so that was up to the person who shared it
The Overwatch one was fixed - the poses pack wasn't, as I understood it? If you wanted to, you could provide the corrections for the messed up textures in that pack as well - or just report the one that is here, and upload your own version.Ah, seems there was a new version of the pose pack uploaded, I didn't see that before replying.

Ive posted stuff here and had it stole from me by Zonegfx members and other sites.
Pisses me off more that the mods allow members to repost content already here and effectively tell me we dont give a $#%@ in unspoken words. that being said I still share when I decide to buy.
I feel I owe it to the people that actually care enough to share. As Ive said before, if nobody shared here then this site would die. If thats what people want then it will be a slow painful death. Hopefully people will continue to post.
Some are to scared to post. Some are just leaching @33es. Others are pissed at the world.
Ive yet to see a good reason not to share if you benefit from others efforts.Maybe all the people who downloaded it need to get a refund from the person who messed the file up, on purpose? There were so many other ways that this could have been handled, without ruining a download. I certainly won't be spending points on anything you upload anymore.
@3dangel I didn't post it here, and as I had every intention of posting the good ones here, it is really the problem of the person who took the files as they posted them while I was in the land of nod. Personally I don"t care if people don"t download anything I share, not my problem, everything I have shared and in future will share is the original files that I purchase. People don"t want what I am kind enough to buy and share here, then hey. I will stop sharing here.

Like Sunny I have had a number of files stolen from mostly Ariel57, who only posts stuff people post privately to share with a group of friends first before putting it out in the wild a few days later.
Which sucks because then the original purchaser can not share it to zone anymore, because whoever took their post is getting the points or whatever else of the person who bought it, as a result I am no longer privately sharing with anyone in that particular avenue and post the stuff I purchase on my own time eventually, or more hand it over to be posted at any rate, sharing and this community should also be about respect not just a gimme gimme I want this now.
Someone shares a file and asks you not to post it so they can post it a few days later, it's a respect thing to heed their words they are after all giving YOU something THEY BOUGHT from THEIR hard earned cash. If someone ignores all of that and abuses them being nice giving it to them for free ( all of the items in question from me and Sunny where shared WITHOUT asking for points/ accepting bounties or point requirements) with the stipulation not to share them so we can do it ourselves 2 to 3 days later.. then yeah we are probably going to stop sharing here and take our shares private only in other avenues. I mean such is probably already happening
So far this year I have shared about 1 to 2k USD worth of assets here ( and another 800 to 1000 from sept to dec 2017) to be posted by Zonemasters, that is not exactly pocket change when I ask for something to not be posted so I can do it myself a few days later it is a respect thing to let me give away the files I purchased. If that is ignored... well lets just say I don't have to share because I as a person and my contributions are not being honored just so someone else can get instant gratification.
That being said if someone privately shares with me I will NEVER post their files in the wild, assume I can do so if they do not specify I can and honor their money spent and generosity towards me. It's just the right thing to do. Eventually things end up here if you did not pay for them you have no entitlement to them and should be able to wait until they are posted. If you want something that badly.. go and buy it yourself if you want to be the one to post it... go buy it and post it right away, others will thank you for it.
Easy fix is post it the same time you share it.

super easy fix. write the name you give it to in a very very small section of a texture or just initials.
You can track every upload you make who posted it ect... because i doubt people will scan every texture. If you have mod dates modify like 12 random textures.
HOWEVER... These mods should not be enough to effect renders.
Hiding DG for d0gg0d in dark green in a leaf would be good.
Its sad when you have an accord with someone and they betray it. They ruin it for everyone else.
But then me personally, I'd call them out publicly.That's a great suggestion @d0gg0d. There are so many ways you could catch someone, without ruining the file for everyone else.
For Daz Studio/Poser, you could add a small text file in the texture folder. Most people never even look in the texture folder to see what's in there. Or make an addition in the readme file.
In Daz Studio, you could do is alter the .duf file - if it isn't a compressed file. Just open the .duf file in a text editor (I use NoteTabLight), and look for the bit that says:
"author" : "HERE",
"email" : "HERE",
"website" : "HERE"and put your name/info/whatever in place of HERE, save it, and you're done.
In Poser you could alter any file that isn't compressed by doing the following:

Save it, and you're done.Those are some pretty simple ways to modify the files and no one will be the wiser, and it will not RUIN the files for anyone else. To me, ruining a product file is just wrong. You aren't just catching the person who isn't being loyal to you, you are punishing the loyal people who download your files as well. People will mistrust you after that.
Everyone here has experienced the files being shared elsewhere right after they go up here. I see my recent ones already up at other places. The one thing that really bothers me is if they use the link to my Mega account. If they upload it to their own, I could care less. There isn't much you can do to stop it. Although I have nicely asked people on other sites to use their own links instead of mine, and 95% of the time they do.
