Very clever Charlie! The final result looks like one of the old master paintings. Which on-line site are you using?

Thanks! I'm using this one https://imgtoimg.ai/ I tried booting up Stable Diffusion on my PC again for the first time in ages, but it froze and crashed it three times. SD is great, but I'm going to need a better computer.

So, I searched for something online that would achieve similar results. I searched through a lot of crap until I found that one. It returns pretty good results for image prompts. I like to use DALLE-3 for text to image, because it's relatively reasonable, but this one is fairly good value too.

I'll have to make do with them until I can afford a better PC.

I prefer using SD because of the involving process, as it isn't just a quick prompt and a click of a mouse, and I don't feel like an Ai fraud when I use it, as it takes as much teaking as setting a scene up in Daz. It wasn't too bad in the beginning, but as time went on, it started to freeze and, now, crash the PC.

Speaking of Ai; did you see Grok going wild on Twitter the other night?

    This is very neat!

I gave the website a try and it keeps telling me the content isn't allowed.

I need to look up a guide on how to set up Stable Diffusion locally. It seems like it would be interesting to try.

I found the best way is to use Forge to install it. Worked easily for me. (not Comfy UI)

@reinecarola Neat! I like painting styles, they are one of my favorites.

Also, you cannot exactly "boot up SD" you probably are using A1111, which is the web interface that has sorta been abandoned a while ago. Fortunately, there are others, like forge or, my favorite (but more advanced) ComfyUI.

@frank22 I see you haven't gone to the dark side yet (e.g. ComfyUI). I have to admit I was always intimidated by it, but not that I have learned it, I love make crazy workflows that do all sort of stuff. 🙂

@legolas18 Thanks! It's something I was trying to achieve with Daz for ages. But, no matter how you edit, it never quite looks right because the majority of Daz models are created to fit the modern day ideal of beauty/attractiveness. Even those characters that have a more realistic vibe have a little too much of a modern aesthetic to seem authentic. What I have done with Daz renders in the past, was use them as references for digital paintings, but I don't really have all that much free time to paint something from scratch anymore.

I'm probably wrong on the terminology.Lol. This is the folder containing the program. It installed via the Command Prompt and it launches through it. It doesn't have a desktop icon like normal programs, the launcher is within the folder. I d/l'd it from Github and installed it a couple of years ago, so it's obviously not the most up to date. Then again, I doubt my PC could handle the latest version.

@reinecarola Yes, that's Automatic1111 (which is the guy that created the program). I also started on that one and used it for a year, but now it is quite dated and abandoned.

ForgeUI has the exact same UI, but a faster backend, so it should serve you better, if you decide to use SD locally.

@legolas18 How hard is it on resources?

@legolas18 I have been thinking about trying animation and ComfyUI seems to be best option for this. SVD is long dead for Automatic1111 so I'm tempted to install Comfy. Apparently SVD never work well anyway.

@reinecarola It is faster than Automatic1111.

@frank22 It takes a bit to learn how to make workflows. The latest model for videos is Wan 2.1, which comes in different models (t2v, v2v) and there are all sorts of plug and play workflows on CivitAi.

Also, consider things like frame interpolation and quantization (reduces demands on resources). I tried a bit, but it didn't seem to be working for me.

Alternatively, you could use Kling.ai, which is pretty good, and they give you free credits every month (note, you can also use API nodes in ComfyUI).

@legolas18 I might try it out, then.
