Going to try and get a render done tonight or Sunday.
After that Ill be in another world for about a week.Any one else playing this?
October 25, 2018 at 8:02 PM #816462No. Because it's console only and there is no way I could play games at 30fps.
October 26, 2018 at 12:35 AM #816691I plan to buy it soon, though I may hold-off until Christmas and give it to myself as a gift. It looks incredible.
October 26, 2018 at 12:40 AM #816696Guess youre not a Mario Fan.
October 26, 2018 at 12:44 AM #816701@jcourtney, don't be an elitist. I remember playing games on the ZX Spectrum, not knowing about refresh but certainly knowing what a pixel was. And fucking loading times...
@d0gg0d. I'll be saddling up when it arrives as I ordered online. Hopefully tomorrow. My brother's pretty fucked off as he ordered it as well and was looking forward to playing it but he's injured his hand, dislocating a few fingers that are splinted and too sore to use. I think I'll have to message him tomorrow when I play. 😀October 26, 2018 at 2:04 AM #816765@evilmonkey My first game was Pong. This was elite when it first came out.
October 26, 2018 at 2:23 AM #816771Yeah, we had cartridge systems, Atari and the like but the Spectrum sticks in my mind so much because it was so easy to pirate the games... they were just on cassette so we had tons of dodgy copies of games and you had to wait for bloody ages for the game to load and sometimes it would fail but you wouldn't know about it if you'd left the room. Ah, shitty times.
October 26, 2018 at 2:29 AM #8167752018. It's not being elitist to not want to play games in 29fps. The motion blur and aiming will feel like utter shit. I'll wait a year and play it on PC where you can actually play it at the refresh rate of the monitor.
October 26, 2018 at 4:51 AM #816879ahh the good old days. Atari console was cool and my mate had the Commodore 64 with a data cassette loader thing.
Boy loading times were fun. How things have changed.October 26, 2018 at 4:23 PM #817471I would easily play Mario on Super Nintendo or Mario Cart on the 64. Id easily replay Vampire on PC reguardless of graphics and would welcome PacMan on PS4 so IMHO, yeah it's elitism to shun great games because of fps. Like saying the original Star Wars sucks because I hate Sci-Fi. Its a good movie reguardless of what you like. Im not a huge western fan but Tombstone was fricking great. Im ok with you not liking stuff. Different strokes and all. But im not missing out on a great story and fun because if a few fps.
October 26, 2018 at 4:33 PM #817486I'm not shunning shit. I'm just not going out to buy a console with extremely poor graphical performance in games to play a lesser experience. I'll wait for the greedy fucks to release it on PC a year later as they did with GTA. It's their way to double dip and get people to buy it twice.
October 26, 2018 at 4:51 PM #817495Such a poor tone with needless cursing.
I guess I should wait for Mario in VR before I pick it up again.
I guess the huge console community should trash their systems for PCs that will be outdated in a few months waiting on the next best graphics card.
The only thing IMHO that I miss on consoles vs PC is the modding community.
I would feel ashamed to invite you to a reto party and pull out a Colecovision
October 26, 2018 at 5:30 PM #817530Not sure it's poor tone and cussing provides emphasis.
We aren't talking about a retro 2D video game here. We're talking about a modern day 2018 fully 3D game with high res textures. I guess if you didn't know any better, then you'd be fine playing games at 29fps.
The fact is this isn't a retro game and it damn well is capable of running at +60fps if it were on proper hardware. The kind that I own and the kind that it will eventually be released on to double dip on sales.
Really PCs that go out of date in a few months? That's not even realistic. It's okay for these "next-gen" consoles to drop day one with the graphics performance of a years-old Walmart eMachine PC.
I'd tired of these games all being console "exclusive". It's the only way they can get people to buy those turd boxes. They buy the turd boxes and have to pay for multiplayer. It's a joke.
October 26, 2018 at 5:51 PM #817557PCs are outdate every time a new game comes out, every time a new graphics card is released, ect... Shelf life of a computer in Japan is probably a month. Dunno never been.
Your comment could have been " Im waiting for PC release" but instead it was an anal "your platform sux".
Most everyone thats played games knows you can push a PC harder and farther than console. Some choose platforms based off certian preferences. I like playing some games on consoles. most games actually. I dont care about your clock speed, ram, wherever. If I did, Id buy a PC game machine. I play for fun and if you require that for fun great. But dont piss on my fire.
Again the FPS comment is an elitist bs reply that could have been something less hostile than console < PC. Perhaps , I prefer PC so Ill have to wait a bit. Then if asked why you could jump on the elitist ship. You however started off on it and rode it hard.
