Its probably like riding a bike. Once you've got it its easy.
I haven't messed with much but while messing with the skin editor ive accidently gotten pretty close. Id download it and mess with the settings while you are on the iray preview window so you can see real time adjustment effects.All/most of the settings are under surface tab but the script makes it a bit easier.
Little something I've been working on, my Saber Project.
I like the look of the swords from the middle ages, thinking this is what a lightsaber would look like if you blended them together.
One I did recently. Wanted to revive some old Aeon/Aery/whateveritisthisyear/Soul outfit. V4 and 110.0, converted to iRay. Still need to work on my conversions, I'm still getting the hang of it, but I do like how this turned out for the most part.

and nope don't mind at all, when people ask to use them as wallpapers it tells me I'm doing something right...lol
