@d0gg0d awesome idea for a contest and giving people notice like this is a great idea so we can think of ideas of how to do it and what we are going to do. Fair playing field by only using items that are posted here is great as well. Like @coolcat, I like the blind contest, the guesswork over who posted what, adds a bit of spice into the mix.
Some one here always has to be negative about anything positive and with every contest out comes the vitriol. Pretty sure most of us know some one in rl like that. I honestly cant see anything negative or controversial in the way you are doing it.Thanks for the feedback. I know several contest go on at once and some renders may suffer for it so, I figure a month is enough to get an idea, compile the stuff and render it. Im going to try and make something to render and post to see how well it turns out but, Im not going to enter. Even if it looks ok, I dont need my points back and I want a personal example that Im willing to do stuff I expect others to do. ( One of my bosses taught me that.)
Ill consider trying to do it blind. Will require a bit of leg work on my part but ultimately probably worth it.

You can do a person, place or thing.
Its mostly to create something new and different with what is available. Or you can do all the above. A new person in a new enviroment in a new vehical.
I did a character last night. Needs a few tweaks but didn't take long. I did a kit bash of an environment for my shadow run render but may do another.
Only limit is your imagination and whats listed on this site.
Im sure with more time you all will cone up with some great stuff.
Thank you for not stooping to a level I am all to familiar with. @hawkeye has some serious issues; Let me start with saying he is quite an artist. Natural understanding of lighting and rendering. And more than likely one of the many persons that makes their own characters from scratch. Would probably be quite rich if he (or she?) had the confidence to have courage.
Meh...I'll get along with anyone and won't descend into childish rants for no reason, or for any reason for that matter. Great artist or not, If hawkeye has issues I suggest (it) gets a grip and has them dealt with away from the internet.
Peace...I’m actually interested to see him enter his characters on that new section. A really good time to put his money where his mouth is. Oh I’m not expecting him/her to actually share. I know myself at that age and at that stage. I made my own songs and moves but I balked and watched others profit and win contests. Because the funny thing about a good idea is if you don’t answer the door when opportunity knocks they don’t die. They find someone humbled to listen and they ride them until that person stops humbling themselves and then they never come back. Opportunity is youthful and stays that way and will humble itself to encourage you to stay youthful and to avoid that miserable pessimism that ruins the best of us. That is why I do my best to encourage those at that level. Kind of like watching myself in 3rd person and wanting to smack Mini-me silly.
I considered water marking some of my better renders for one second. Because there are WAY more talented people out there posting AWESOME work without one. I thought to myself, Im not that important that I cant share. Just my opinion but if you leech here and can afford to share and dont, you suck.
There's always someone better so dont get high on yourself. Years from now most people will be dead and forgotten so at least leave some joy behind.

Zone content kit bash contest is cool with me. I'd just have to check to see if a product I have, is listed here first.
