Heetee had posted the Holiday Hotel scenes bundle four times in November of last year, all listed as reposts. All are still available.
Now, I see the Void Vision has just posted it again, as an original post (not marked as a repost).
This has gotten ridiculous. People are posting items that are still currently available in a desperate attempt to get points. Did you think we would be fooled into thinking it was an original post? I hope that I'm not the only one checking for previous copies before downloading.Just uploaded a Car. Extra materials and and a post for poses for the car were on the web.
Did a check to see if I could find the car, no show.I think It would be nice if people would search and find original items that have extra items for it.
No prob for me, but if you are low on points, just a material zip is no good to people.
Shame people are lazy.A quick search on the site take seconds, and saves the mods a lot of work reading all the reports and removing posts.

There are 5 products in the Bundle but only 4 are available on the Blog as single items.

I just went to double check but all the older posts have been removed, probably by Warrant63 as I'd mentioned this to him.
I'm sure (pretty sure) that the descriptions where all the same, and I know that all the pictures where exactly the same.Indeed, things have changed a lot since the daily reward removal. There is way more assets for Blender and such, for example. As Ethiopia says, I perceive some people are getting a bit desperate to get points and will upload literally anything.
I have been a user for less than one year, so I have a question for the more experienced ones: don't you fear that some people would be capable of reporting valid download links and, once they are taken down, reupload those items to get the points? I'm not doing that, of course, but if I can think of it I guess more unscrupolous and point-starved people could, and I can't imagine a reason why they would not act like that. If I´m right This could be an undesired side effect of this new policy (which I don't like, but I'm a nobody here)
The mod in charge of posts, warrant63, checks reports because yes, it does happen. Sometimes it's accidental because of a spelling or naming error.
I think that folks have been spoiled by the daily points give away. The idea of points was to encourage sharing of original content and it worked brilliantly. The daily points fiasco has created an army of selfish parasites who feel entitled to an endless stream of free content while contributing nothing to the site.
I feel strongly that we need to get back to our roots. Delete ALL members who have never uploaded anything or taken part in conversations or art contests. Make it a strict requirement that folks HAVE to upload new content at least once a year or every six months in order to remain a member and that points would come from that.

The mods actually physically check the link too see if they work, if the link is dead, the post is sent to Dead Posts.Oh, I see I was not clear enough. I was thinking about reporting the files to the hosting site for copyright violations, so they are taken down and can be reuploaded by unethical users. Could that happen?

I suppose that could happen, Vendors do that, but I doubt if members on here would be that way inclined, you never know though, it's the chance you take.
