@anna1945
Anna the sephiroth model was the problem causerhow am I gonna be able to use him again if that model is the one causing the weird "missing file" error whenever I load other Genesis 9 figures?
November 22, 2024 at 4:29 PM #2104138after deleting that model the error stopped showing
November 22, 2024 at 4:31 PM #2104139November 22, 2024 at 5:53 PM #2104149is there anyway I could fix this issue by myself?
yes......read what I wrote.
Is this a case of boredom.......nothing better to do?November 22, 2024 at 6:37 PM #2104154I deleted the dazcover G9 Sephiroth + Checked my preferences. NONE of my preferences says to DAZ to ''load Sephiroth.duf''
and it still keeps happening
IDK what to do anymoreNo!No!No! No
You must create a blank scene....blank scene.
Save that scene.
In preferences use that scene in load scene.
If you were in my class, I would give you a refund and
ask you to leave.
The concept of walking and chewing gum comes to mind
Perhaps something simple with pencil and paper would be more suitable?
Nothing to be ashamed ofNovember 22, 2024 at 8:45 PM #2104170Mate - using File>New will not create a blank/empty scene, it will only re-load the default scene you have saved. You will need to check and make sure there is nothing in your scene before you save it and set it as your default load scene.
After you save the scene go to where you saved it in Explorer, right click on the icon and set the attribute to Read Only, that way you can't overwrite it by accident.November 22, 2024 at 9:18 PM #2104175Thank you Frank......would skip you a grade.
The principal is the same.......will see how long this goes onNovember 22, 2024 at 9:27 PM #2104177Well I could have said re-installing DS would solve his problem (which it would)... see how kind I am 🙂 .
November 22, 2024 at 9:56 PM #2104184Had an idea of using a stick figure with a pointer and a blackboard,
but I had the feeling it would be too muchIn this case advising a reinstall to this individual is the shortest
way for him and usNovember 22, 2024 at 10:12 PM #21041901 I'm not a he I'm a she
2. you could also be nicer instead of yelling at me??? not everyone here is as advanced in using daz3d. I'm just asking a question. the rudeness is very uncalled forNovember 22, 2024 at 10:14 PM #2104191I'm really tired of some of you ppl thinking you can act like pure assholes just because we're on the internet. I just needed help.
I also suffer from autism which makes understanding some things harderNovember 22, 2024 at 10:18 PM #2104194I literally just said the problem isn't my "default scenes"
the problem was the Sephiroth model I had installed
after deleting the Sephiroth model the "missing file" error stopped showing
so this error isn't my fault. its the fault of the vendor who converted this model they did something wrong with its files
so then I asked if I could fix the faulty stuff going on with the Sephiroth files myself.
And then you and Anna decide to act like I'm some stupid imbecile. its very uncalled for
November 22, 2024 at 11:25 PM #2104204Sorry if you took offense. We just don't believe that installing a character can somehow work its way into an empty DS scene file. I don't believe that's even possible but I could be wrong. There are plenty of instances where a shonky character can affect a base character but that's a different issue.
DS is trying to load a scene file with Sephiroth.duf in it, and not a missing morph or texture for it, so I still believe it's a saved scene issue and not a problem with the character itself. If it was someone would have mentioned it here. Cheers.November 23, 2024 at 12:36 AM #2104214Bruh,
Three things you can try.
1. Put a file named sephiroth.duf in the Scenes directory. If it is there whatever is looking for it will find it and the message should go away. Lord knows what is happening under the covers.
2. Look at each of the installation files with a DSON editor. I'm guessing one of them (probably in the Data directory) has a reference to sephiroth.duf in the Scenes directory. Remove the reference, re-save and you should be good.
3. The daz error file may also give more information about the error. Post it and we could take a look at it.
Good luck.
November 23, 2024 at 2:59 AM #2104220Best of luck with the next problem.
