I keep getting this super weird error whenever I try to load a figure or prop into my scene like.. wtf.. what does Sephiroth have to do with it???
like it doesnt even have to be Sephiroth or Final Fantasy related I keep getting this weird error when loading literally anything...
Is there anyway I can fix this? Its extremely annoying 🙁
November 21, 2024 at 9:19 PM #2103992Do you have Sephiroth for Genesis 8 Male installed?
November 21, 2024 at 9:20 PM #2103993no idea...
go to menu help/troubleshooting/view log file...
maybe there is some info that can help.It could be related to the preferences (F2)? sorry, no clue
November 21, 2024 at 9:27 PM #2103996@frank22 I have both a G9 and G8 version installed..
do I perhaps have to delete them then re-install??November 21, 2024 at 9:48 PM #2103999Go to where all libraries are stored.
Do a "Windows" search of the word SephirothAfter go to to blank scene "currently used"
Make sure nothing is there
After making sure there is nothing in the scene, save it as"
start" go to preferences make this scene the default start scene. If still getting message it is the program not you.
ReinstallNovember 21, 2024 at 9:52 PM #2104000Yep Anna. He's saved the default DS scene with some element of Sephiroth in it. Easy mistake and I've done it myself a few times.
November 21, 2024 at 10:14 PM #2104002Bruh,
When you installed "Sephiroth" the process changed some settings in your system to look for the Sephiroth.duf file in your Scenes directory when you load something new.
Remove "Sephiroth" from your system and the message should go away. I've seen this from various vendors, and it is due to sloppy work. If you reinstall it the problem will return. If you really want "Sephiroth" installed, then create an empty Sephiroth.duf file in your Scenes directory and it will then find the file.
Goofy, but true.

I'm not sure about that. If the default scene was re-saved with a reference to Sephiroth in it, DS will continue to look for it even if the product is removed.
November 21, 2024 at 10:54 PM #2104005The G9 version of Sephiroth is causing this. I had the same issue with it until uninstalling all related content.
November 22, 2024 at 6:30 AM #2104031I deleted the dazcover G9 Sephiroth + Checked my preferences. NONE of my preferences says to DAZ to ''load Sephiroth.duf''
and it still keeps happening
IDK what to do anymore 🙁November 22, 2024 at 6:32 AM #2104032I guess I'll just put an empty Sephiroth.duf file in ''scenes'' library folder
IDK what else could solve the issue
November 22, 2024 at 6:39 AM #2104033NVM I apparently forgot to delete some of his sliders...
It now stopped doing this after deleting DAZCover's entire Sephiroth modelThis really really sucks though. Because I paid money for that one. Kinda a waste of my money if it keeps causing this weird glitch...
November 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM #2104080If it is a legit purchase get back to the vendor to fix it.
November 22, 2024 at 11:07 AM #2104081Some vendors don't care that much about fixing their stuff. I bought an expression pack from Neikidian for G8.1 long time ago, got the duplicate formula issue, I went to the forums and I was far to be the only one with that problem. after 2 years, it's still not fixed: I keep uninstalling it, getting a fresh version from the store, install it back to see if it's any improvement, and it's not.
And since it's was not that much expressions available for G8.1 (compare to G8 and G9), I live with it, no choice.November 22, 2024 at 1:37 PM #2104105Pretty please......humor me...load a blank scene.
Go to currently used.
Make sure nothing is there.
Save this scene as "start"
Go to Edit>Preferences>Startup>Load Scene (load the scene you just created)
About once a week when you load your start up scene check currently used.
This should be a part of weekly maintenanceYou will make an old person happy also you can then reinstall Sephiroth
if you wish. -
