Grouchy, 4.12 and 4.15 were great releases. DS was peaking in those years. Since then, their releases are pretty much 💩. I still have both as well (but not the installers) on an old PC.
September 18, 2026 at 5:00 PM #2188452Hi @ulysses, do you happen to have the release years for the versions you mentioned? That must have been quite a massive undertaking! I have a huge, very old Content folder containing characters and scenes that go way back. There’s a big difference in the creations one produces over time, though that’s often due to DS being full of bugs; still, I agree — looking back, there were some really great versions of DS, and we really should have kept them all 😀

I was highly resistant to upgrading from 4.15 due to the bugs added in subsequent releases but 4.24.0.4 is now my base. I've had zero CTD's and no known problems with assets based around G3, G8, G8.1 and G9 with this build on win 10 64 with an nvidia 4070ti (driver 595.79). I would highly recommend using this build if you have a similar system setup.September 19, 2026 at 9:42 AM #2188539"Is that forum even working? @josiebethlewis2019 do have patience - mail from the site for register - will show up eventually.September 19, 2026 at 10:03 AM #2188545@poepogue, From discussions in a couple of discord servers I got the impression that 4.24.0.3 was the last release that DIDN'T disable several scripts and plug-ins. This is why I was searching for that one. I'm still on an earlier version.

I could be confused about this but I'm pretty sure I'm running 4.24.0.4 BETA under the 4.24.0.3 display. I'm not seeing any problems with any of the plugins I normally use. If you have any in mind that have been mentioned as being an issue, let me know and I'll test it on my end when I get some time tomorrow.4.24.0.4 BETA <- Displays as 4.24.0.3 (64) Public Build

4.24.0.4 is the current Beta
I have been using that Beta for a few months.
Seems to work fine & no issues with any of my essential plug ins.
🙂

Good to know. Am I correct in thinking that it is the 4.24.0.4 beta?September 19, 2026 at 11:29 AM #2188572It is. I corrected the number in my above post.
I installed it late December last year & it hasn't been superseded.
Although the Change Log says pending in the private build 'Canary' beta. That hasn't changed this year.
I take it they are finished with developing it. :0/It is fine though, I am very happy with it.
🙂
September 19, 2026 at 11:34 AM #2188575September 19, 2026 at 11:52 AM #2188577Hi @felicia, the splash screen on 4.12 says 2019 and the splash screen on 4.15 says 2021.
September 19, 2026 at 12:21 PM #2188583September 19, 2026 at 2:48 PM #2188593I must be getting mixed up with the Studio 6 versions then. I know that most (almost all?) of the plugins don't work under the new architecture and those that have been recompiled to work are now (effing!) subscription based.
