I get that people don't like the photobucket mark but sadly, having had several images "hijacked" and used by others as their own work I got kinda defensive sorry 🙁
There are thousands of images that other artist upload on deviant art and other 3d forums in HD quality with no logos. At one time I thought about water marking my work and decide that once I get as good as these people that dont seem to care then I would reconsider. Ive yet to achieve that goal. I understand where youre coming from since I was there once but ultimately when I upload something it is to share and let others enjoy it. If others cant enjoy it I should just keep it on my Harddrive. These of course is just my opinion and doesnt mean its right for you.

This is a site where people upload other work for free download. A $20 product could have taken a week to complete and perfect.
I'm actually on DA and that was where the art was taken from sadly. That's my image there. I'm nowhere near the quality of artists both there and here but I do resent somebody passing my work off as their own and in some cases trying to profit from it.
That's the only reason I do it. Even my DA work now has a more subtle watermark 😔
Ive had a couple items Used of mine but who am I to care if Im effectively doing the same to other people here by not paying them for hour-days and perhaps weeks of work by downloading it for free.
If it were a company like Apple, Id sue the hell outa them but If you buy an item from Daz upload it here then in a few seconds is all over the net and being mined with bitcoin or click ads. So you payed money for someone else to make money.
Fk it. Ive saved more money here than I would make a few dollars from some guy that wants 3D yiffy pron and cant use Daz.
If you are going to look at it from your persepctive you should look at it from others also. Ive added backrounds to images that I downloaded. I never claim they are mine I just like the way they look. And yes most are copyrighted. I do not understand how someone can want to protect themselves and take advantage of others. This is why If I decide to make content Ill probably post it for free or no more than 50 points to keep in the file search.
Also I dont over value my content. With others out there posting their images freely and looking 10 times better than mine. Some probably taking days to complete by a highly skilled person. If they can post their work openly, who am I? Do I really believe my work is better than most of whats posted online?
I agree with everything you've said there other than the fact that what I'm trying to say is that I object to somebody claiming that my work is THEIR work. The time and the money are pretty much irrelevant and I've often told people that they're allowed to use my work with just a credit. I'm aware that the work I do needs to go a long way to meet the standards of other work out there but until such time as people start creating their own work rather than taking the credit for mine I'll be watermarking it.

BTW just my opinion but ANYTHING you charge money for you should own the product and license to do so. I do this as a hobby an in no way could afford everything I DL. Some of these people deserve financial support to continue to put out quality products. IMHO.
Again, totally agree and I've paid out money on several items just for that reason. Guess we'll just have to carry on as per I suppose.
