I know it shouldn't bother me but there is a spate of re-releases badged as 'New' over at Daz.
Now I am all in favour of keeping older content available, that is why I got involved in sharing in the first place, but they really should have been more honest by posting as 'Re-release' rather than 'NEW'!What happened to truth in advertising!
There feel a bit better now having had a little vent! 🙂

Anything to make money really. I'm sure I've said before that content creators at DAZ have run out of ideas.
I mean how many rooms, athletic wear and swimwear plus the endless line of other regurgitated stuff does a person need???
I think that is probably overly harsh.
There are some very good vendors who put out good quality more original stuff, but I agree that they are very much in the minority.🙂
I felt the same until it was brought to my attention, that the old products are marked as new is due to their status change being moved to PC+.
Daz's whole marketing and sales system is questionable at best, this is just one more to add to their.
Rank:Perhaps, but I agree there are some good vendors. Then again I've seen some pretty sub standard items from DAZ that appear to have been knocked up in an an hour and tossed into the marketplace.

Whilst some are nicely done, lazy ass texturing products wind me up the most.

Rank:Yeah I've seen a few badly textured skins that I'd be embarrassed to release If I was the creator.
One well know vendor who is probably the busiest on DAZ couldn't be bothered to get some clothing morphs correct. It seemed they couldn't be bothered tidying up some of their products in Zbrush and just threw them in the marketplace.
Now I know how sloppy their work is I won't buy them.DAZ could do better with evaluation before release. And some vendors need better quality control.
Ehhh, I kind of agree with @norbertz. I sometimes wonder just how many swimsuits, skimpwear, fancy white collar salary-level apartments, and pretty white girls one can have. But there are some PAs whom I'll support no matter what, simply because their stuff is worth the cost (i.e. SickleYield, Stonemason, Aeon Soul, Linday, Zev0, Arki) and they sometimes go out of their way to make versions for the previous generation of figures.
Though if you want lack of quality control, Renderosity can sometimes be worse. It's great for things that wouldn't otherwise be sold at Daz or the other sites (like non-pornographic same-sex couples poses), but a lot of the stuff there can be really mediocre. I still weep for the loss of StudioArtVartanian... she made some of the best, unique hairs that still hold up to this day. No one on either site has even come close to her.
Anyhow, I've rambled enough. I also agree that it's kind of tacky to label newly made PC+ stuff as 'New', but it's all marketing. Nothing more, nothing less.
Also, Norbertz, I'm curious to know who this vendor is, lmao.

I didn't know StudioArtVartanian had passed. I purchased nearly all of her products. Such a huge loss 🙁
I noticed them doing this a while ago they need to let people know its a re-release and for what reason whats different and so-on. or I start feeling like its ground hog day... lol 🙂

When they repeated the 'error' I thought it was worth raising a point. 😉

Not being morbid but I wonder how she passed away because she certainly wasn't in the old folks category by the look of her profile picture on Rosity.Anyway, again, such a great loss to the 3D World.
There are actually a few of her products that still haven't made it into the wild, but I feel super scummy asking for said items instead of purchasing them.
