i do not want to use the daz install manager as some files are not set up for it. But is there a way to extract the files into one folder instead of them being into seperate folders? by this i mean i will select say 7 files. even though i told it to unrar them into 1 folder they will still have seperate folders in them. is there a way to avoid that? thanks

I don't know why you'd want to do that, since properly working content depends on the directory structure contained within the Content folder within the archive.
IIRC (on mobile right now, sorry) WinRAR has a selection to Ignore Folder Structure, or something to that effect. You may have to noodle around in the options to show hidden menu items to find it.
Or, just go folder by folder and drag the files out of the RAR window to your chosen location.

Content Package Assist (https://zonegfx.com/content-package-assist/) is your friend for non-Daz3D files. It will convert all those non-DIM zips into a DIM file Install Manager can recognize.

But if you really don't want to deal with it, just unzip you files into your content folder. A few files will have a main directory call "My Library" or something like that. You will need to move the Sub-directories to the content folder.

I keep almost all of my files the same. Just open the zip and drag and drop. Ive made a few tweeks but nothing major.
