I already have two GPUs and wont fit in a third one, also, I would anyway have to upgrade the power unit if I could add a third GPU into the same case.
Is it possible to buy a separate case only for the third GPU? How do people do? Would be happy to know what i should be searching for. I have seen GPU racks for 10 or more GPUs but I'm looking for something much smaller.
I may have seen pcie extenders or something like that where a gpu can be utilized outside of a case.
You can buy an external GPU-case, but for most of them, you need Thunderbolt to be able to use them. You can get PCIe cards with Thunderbolt, ofc, if your motherboard doesn't have a Thunderbolt port. Razer and EVGA and others have such cases.
As for including a multitude of GPUs on one motherboard, you need to remember that most miningrigs only run each GPU at PCIe 1x. Not recommended for rendering.
Note that such an external case for a GPU is expensive, so you might be better off just selling your current cards, and upgrading - depending on what kind of cards you already got, ofc.
There are also a lot of motherboards that support 3 or more cards, and with a bigger case / different case, there isn't really that hard fitting 3 cards in.

I will ask the people in the store where I bought the computer, they are on the more serious side of vendors.
The computer is called Taurus Overkill GTX 1080 Ti, its some kind of semi-custom build.
I have two GTX 1080 Ti

Does the motherboard have a Thunderbolt port? The specs doesn't mention Thunderbolt...That's not the motherboard, that's just the chipset for the CPU/motherboard. The case is probably not really big enough to run 3 cards with fan-cooling, even if it has the actual PCIe-slots for it.
It does not have a Thunderbolt port, I'm 99.9% sure of that. So you'd need a PCIe-adapter for that.
As for the cards... the 1080 Tis are good cards, but for rendering (at least with Iray in DAZ) you get better results with 2080 cards. The only problem is of course that they "only" have 8GB VRAM, compared to the 11 GB on the 1080 Tis. Depending on your needs, you might be better off upgrading to two 2080 Tis, instead of adding another 1080 Ti. It will be a bit more expensive total, but you can sell both of your 1080 Tis, and be able to afford approx 1 2080 Ti, and with the money saved on the Thunderbolt card and the external case, you'd be half way to another 2080 Ti already. A single 2080 Ti will render about the same as your dual 1080 Ti, so yeah. Definitely upgrade the cards, instead of buying another one.

My idea is to go for RTX Titan as I really want to have more memory (24GB instead of 11GB). It's expensive but then I can do stuff that's not really possible now.
Maybe changing one of the GPUs...? Will ask in the store if they have some miracle solution....
I was in your exact situation before I bit the bullet and bought a Titan Rtx. Don't settle for anything less than a gold+ modular psu. The Titan gets hot (65 degrees and higher) during rendering so get a water cooler or in my case get msi afterburner. I have no regrets buying the Titan.

Yea, I can't wait to play around with some real power! I read that the view port gets much faster with RTX for example.
Rendering without the Titan made the computer slow to do anything else. The Titan changed all of that. Now I can render in the background and still use The computer. Yes, the viewport is faster. Heck everything is faster. What I like most is the ability to adjust lighting in real-time. The Titan requires a 650 Watt PSU minimum so get a 1000 Watt or higher. Finally, get a ups to protect your investment.
@chonakz if you decide to get a Titan RTX, you can just sell off your other GPUs. Seriously. No need for them anymore. One Titan RTX is heaps faster than dual 1080Tis, and probably also faster, or on par, with 3 1080 Tis. The newest DAZ beta works SO much better with RTX cards, it's not even funny.
