A good place to start learning is with this thread:
You cannot get what you want with points, you can only get what is available on zonegfx.
And something becomes available only if someone purchases it from a vendor site and gives it on zonegfx.
All the point system is made to incite people to purchase assets (at daz or another vendor site) that are not already present at zonegfx, and to upload these assets here. So when someone "pays" an asset with points, the points are directly given to the uploader and this is the best way to get points.
Besides that, there are other means to get points: when you create an account, when you log in the site (once per day). You can also purchase points with money.@Queospera, Thanks, I'll read this

Lopez, to find out if a product is available at ZoneGfx you hace to search for it, clicking the lens icon to the right of the phrase "Free Membership" at the top of the page.
If you get no hits you can make a thread in the Request forum and offer points for the item. Others may join and offer points as well. When someone has the item they will send you a private message with the download link and you transfer him/her the points offered.

The site may make a profit through ads.You offer a set number of points and people either decide to actually buy and upload the product or they find it on another pirate site and upload it.
IMHO they probably intended to buy the product anyway and just want points OR the point offer is very high and a new person gets the item to greatly increase their starting points.
Some items take awhile since people may not like them while others are brought instantly
Best thing to do is just browse the request section for a day or two and see how people request content if your English isnt good or you have difficulty understanding how it works.
Usually (at least now) the starting BID is 1000 points or more depending on how bad you want a product. 500 being just want it a little 5000 being you REALLY want it bad ect..
Once the person sends you a link to the item you send them the points WARNING: Thier screen name and actual member name COULD be different. My Display name is ADAM but my member name is D0GG0D and it can be and is confusing.
