hi everyone,
I'm new around here and I be glad to share any items which i have access to, but i don't know how to repost a Dead Post ? am i gonna get any point for that, can sb tell me how this works, plz ?
FAQ says " select provide a working link " but that option isn't available...thank you all in advance
Do you know how to make a post? Do that.
If not, do it anyway. You'll learn by doing.
Your post will countermand the Dead Post.
You'll gain points if users want what you offer.
well, i added a dead post as a new post and now it's gone, cant find it any where. if it needed a approval, it should by now(it has been 2 days now) i cant see it in my posts. all other are there but not my new post.
Contact an admin. I believe @monkseye is the guy you need.
Just fyi, just because the post is in the dead post section it doesn't mean it is fully dead. If it is still in the window of time for the original poster to re-upload it then your post can go unapproved since they have priority.
Second, it takes a while for posts to be approved, like a week or so sometimes. Go to the Add Post section, look at the right side. Those are the posts waiting for approval and if you refresh you might see different ones as the limit seems to be about 10 being shown at once, so your post might still be there waiting.
You can try and repost a recently 'dead' post but I find looking for posts that have been dead for at least 2 weeks to be a better chance. This is just my experience so far.
What @diksalad said. I've been out of the posting game, so I forgot about the dead post delay and the approval wait time. Good luck.
Just do the same thing you would do with when posting the item the first time, except specify that it's a repost in the title, that's what I do!
Unless something has changed, monkseye is dealing with issues and hasn't been active in a long time. I think @warrant63 deals with postings issues and eelgoo deals with forum issues. Or it might be the other way around, I don't remember.
yes, I sent a pm to @warrant63 and he told me what to do. he said exactly what @lordhellaborn said to do. told me to make a new post but add "Repost" to the title.
@3demon, We lost Monk a while back along with AnjaBear. The FAQ needs updating.
