Working with the developers model. I posed both models side by side and gave them moderately extreme poses. I can see several difference for both and both positives and negatives for both figures.
My question is, which base belongs to the Genesis 9 Female Base and which belongs to the Genesis 8.1 Female Base and what positives and negatives do you see for each figure?
I'll share my thoughts on both after some of your commentary.
G9 Seems to be the one on the right (frontal view) and left (rear view).
The most obvious advantage seems to be the more realistic morphs. This is mostly apparent on the breast (see how the breast is lifted by the lifted arm), elbows, and knees.
The G9 also has more details. 🙂

An intriguing way to compare and detect. I'll bite.
I'm going to say the G9 is on the left in the front shot. And on the right in the rear shot.
I guess this way because G8 bends the same way, currently as is, as that on the right (front shot) in the extreme left shoulder/collar position, and the breast does indeed move with it like that on my side.
(I don't yet have G9 so can't test with it. But I'll stick to my guess/vote based on what I see and can reproduce with G8.)(And if this guess is correct it's also interesting because the G9 would seem to bend more naturally in this instance, if this is the case. Which would be encouraging.)
@Kefka Specifically, did you use G8 or G8.1 for the comparison? Or does it make a difference I wonder? (...Injecting a G8.1 base to check.)

You are right though.
Also my opinion on some of the positives and negatives may not concur with your own, though I tried to be unbiased about both figures. I did give Genesis 9 right leg bend the edge over the 8/8.1 model (aftermarket JCMs used????? not sure). That for one may draw divisive opinions.
ANyway, take a look if you'd like.

Seems within your testing and summary you are attempting to answer this question, among others. Which is what I was also interested in before committing.
