So,3d-load recently shared one of the newest Original Model of Daz, Gabriela 8, what do you guys think about her and her bundle?
In my opinion, Idk if its just me,but Gabriela have a striking resemblance with Kala 8 but just having white skin, it doesn't help when they bundled Micaela which resembles indian women (in my opinion)Edit: Leak > Shared to avoid further misunderstanding
Nothing there ATM that is a must have for me. IMHO its all achievable with G8 and just another gimmic to move more sub-par products.
Most if not all characters Ive been using are on the G8 basic model. Ive seen much better characters and textures coming from those. After the disappointing Mei Lin 8 Ive reset my HD to use Mostly G8 base characters.
Venders have to rely on you wanting to dump money into a side figure so I think its smart to work from a base that is free.
I usually look to see what is included with the bundle.
Most of the time I don't use but maybe two or three of the characters in my library, morphing them the way I like and applying textures that have come with other characters.
Beyond that, I look to see what clothing, hair and accessory items are included since those are what I tend to use the most of...
I'm lost, who "leaked" Gabriela? She was released yesterday, how was she "leaked" that would mean that the version out there is not the official one. How do you mean this from your post @deepedia? Or did you mean they shared the new release?
I don't normally care much for the females released in such bundles and strangely enough, this particular "female" reminds me of a good friend of mine who is, in reality, a drag queen. She is supposed to be a Latina, but that would mean South American Latin American yet most of the stuff is Spanish cultural and not Latin American at all. Somehow the Mormon base that makes all these seem to get their ethnicities all f**d up, I'm wondering if they are going to do the same thing to the male counterpart and stick him in a Matador outfit or a Sombrero with a big moustache and gunbelts ala Sancho Panza. Considering Bullfighting has been illegal for a number of years, making a Matador outfit would be rather pointless, but there was a Matador set made for David 3.0 and the Vendors at Daz love pulling shit out of mothballs and doing cheap refits and reselling them - so I wouldn't be surprised. If the male bundle doesn't impress me, I just won't spend the money on it. Daz is so overpriced for really shoddy stuff lately that I wonder how long they can continue on this trend and not lose most of their loyal customer base.
Only time will tell.

Daz is into volume not quality.
Even venders are still rehashing the same texture a few extra morphs and poof a new character.
However...! Ive seen some amazing stuff from some venders. Some are even including a vein texture and bumps.
This adds a nice bit of realism and Ill support that qualiy with a purchase. Others have started including hair. Some of which I've purchased.Ive yet to see a alt version of G8 I couldnt live without.
There are some really nice monster types for basic G8.
Id say 1/4 of the alt G8 stuff is ok. Im not happy spending money on ok, I want great.I converted GND 4.3 to G8 using X2 and the new G3-G8 and it turned out reasonably well. Enough to use it as an 80% morph.
So if you really want more G8 stuff just batch convert everything from G3 and if that doesnt do it for you, convert V4.Heck with X2 and G3-8 you could probably convert V3 stuff.
There's no reason now to not use G8 other than not wanting to do the conversions. Id be willing to drop points on some batch converted aerysoul v4 to G8 stuff.Yeah, The thing about Gabriela is she really doesn't have anything new to offer,not even exotic makeup, I think they are going low with the gimmick for the recent side-figure,previous Ellithia also look like tuned up version of Olympia-or-Alexandra mixed up together, nothing much different if you already have those figure in library,at least she still offer some variety of fantasy makeup as texture. From the recent side-figure release,i think the better one is Kanade, it is have better anime-ish approach than Aiko 8.
Currently, the side figure in my library that i'm still use from time to time are Victoria, Alexandra,and Kanade (Replacing Aiko)
@Anjabear:You think too far,my bad, It is just my choice of wording, I should be use the word shared than leaked. It is my bad habit coming from other pirates community, i'm habitually use the word Leaked for new things released, sorry if it's cause misunderstanding
Yeah, leaked to me means mostly by accident or by someone that shouldn't have. Lately its meant that the company feeds bits of info out before the products release. Lately CAPCOM has been leaking MHW Iceborn content on purpose but, I still view the word Leaking as something that wasnt meant to happen.
Yeah it wasn't 'leaked', just shared. So I purchased it (got it for $45 with a bunch of other stuff), before it was shared and figured people would want it badly. So I uploaded, then an hour later, 3dload had it. Guessing they have a membership here and shared it with there site. Anyhow, to answer your original question; I think Micaela and Isabella are the ones I would consider to be a bit different compared to the rest. I personally don't like Micaela, but she does look different and diversity is what great art is all about. But the spanish hair with the Rose is also something I don't see too often, which drew my interest in the bundle. But the biggest draw for me what the gangster style clothes in it. I rarely see the homie style stuff on Daz. Maybe I'm bias because I grew up in 'the hood,' but I tend to purchase content in that nature when I see it. It be nice to see poses that throw out gang sign or crip walk. Maybe in a male version for this bundle like a Julio/Jose 8.
There are 2 definitions of leaked,
Noun : as in a water leak, for example. Thats not supposed to happen.
Verb: When someone LEAKS information, a movie, a 3D item, song etc, before its time, its intentional, not an accident. It was meant to happen.I don't see any resemblance to Kala at all. 2 different characters. Gabriella reminds me of an actress, though I can't remember who.
I'm like Tony. I look to see whats in the bundle. I normally dont use but 1 or 2 items and I swap textures more and more. I've also been creating more of my own characters, male mostly, from the G8M base to fit my needs. To be honest, if I knew how to create clothing and hair, I'd be in better shape. I'm already creating some of my own props and textures for what I need at the time.

If this movie wasn't "leaked" before 3D touch up work and before it hit the theater, what would it be called? Pirated?
When I was in my early days, we played cowboys and indians. Some of us may have even played astronauts or pirates.Sick meant you needed a doctor, gay meant you were happy, dope meant a stupid person. Leak meant a trip to the bathroom.
Youtube, google searches and Daz forums.
Ive learned a good bit of stuff on YT since Id rather watch a movie than read a book. Daz forums are hit and miss but usually you can get at least some info.
Ive wanted to try both as well but dont want to invest the time it would take to do learn to do it correctly and then do it correctly. If I were to select one Id do hair. There are tons of clothing out there but hair that actually looks like hair is difficult to find.
I've found several hair files that look pretty real, even in close-up work. The hard part actually is trying to get it to move realistically without the hair going through body parts...but I guess that's where the dForce comes into play, and that's pretty much going to be for G8 characters only
