    @bobdawg, @aftyrbyrn, @d0gg0d and @silverboax : I notice it too. I waited for some feedback at least but at this point I don't think it we'll get any.

    @bobdawg, lol i'm sorry, that was miss-interpreted.
    ikr --- I know right! I was agreeing with you about @Jason.
    My young friends have me abbreviating everything these days.

    So, it should have been read as

    I know right, @jason no entry?! @jason no Judge.

    I'm starting to feel like @jason just did this because he had an assignment in his job or possibly an art class, had not idea what to do, gave us instructions on how his teacher lined out the requirements for his piece, then waited for us all to enter. But with out his comments or judging, i guess we'll never know. Makes me want to put giant watermarks on my posts 🙁 and with all the call outs above, he hasn't responded.

    Seriously people? people were ripping Jasons ass off every chance they got by bitching and moaning. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.

    FYI, you'll learn this crap in any art school. Its not like he pulled it from his ass. He was wanting to share and help others, and got nothing but crap for it.

    @drgnmztr : You're right. I found his pdfs, images and videos very useful. Maybe people were offend by how he did it, but I wasn't. I even defended his 15-pages pdf that members were moaning about. But I think, imho, that when you co-host a contest, you at least vote/comment on the entries. That's the only thing I complain about him because I was looking forward his input.

    @dragon I do understand that he caught a LOT of crap from me and others. Telling people how to do something doesnt always go over well especially when they think they are right or really dont care.

    BUT if you start something finish it. Dont just drop it on someone else to do and hide in a corner. Continue to back yourself up at least till its over.

    I expected at least a vote on the artwork or a submission to show how great he applied all his knowledge that he told others to do. We didnt get either. Kind of like me telling everyone to come to my kids birthday and making my neighbor plan it and I dont even show up with a present. Makes no sense.

    @AftyrByrn you might be on to something. The posts would be fresh and not common pictures found on google image search.

    Yes I would like to say thank You to @Jason for the contest (I already thanked Rob)I did learn stuff I've never taken art classes so it was a learning lesson for me and I too was looking for his opinion on the entries.

    Yes. I just wanted his comments. I'm not trying to rip on him. I really liked the idea and would still like for him to critique the works.

    I overlaid the 'golden' rules to my image. It's layout, leading the eye to travel around the entire picture, or focusing it to a central point, not leading it off the piece, etc... this is taught in art school, been there. His approach and demeanor were stiff and not well received by many apparently. Not taking sides on this one. Just pointing out facts.

    That is all. I think it should just be dropped, it's not worth members fighting over. If @Jason wants to critique the work, he can, but the point has been made.

    And if that was the first time you have seen those methods @jason introduced, take some more time to search the web, there are loads of lessons and instructional media available to learn from.

    I honestly don't know his reasons for not critiquing or entering. However, I myself don't blame him for not doing either, if it was intentional to not do so. I felt people were rude and snarky towards him and his intentions. Who knows if he was soured by it all.

    Maybe IRL work has him tied down or a family emergency or illness. Maybe the blue screen of death..

    i'm not trying to rip on him. as i said before i'm just disappointed is all. i was sincerely looking forward to his input.

    i definitely would not wish the blue blue screen of death on him.

    perhaps he will yet show up. i hope so. i would still love to see his knowledge of art brought to my piece and know what i did well and not so well. i'd like to learn from him.

    Maybe...just maybe all the entries were lacking in the True Noir style, and after all the hard work he put into the comp by providing guidlines and help (Not telling, but showing) he thought, as i would, whats the phuking point....all that and for what?.
    I could be wrong of course, just offering another POV.

    And all those that were whining about the amount of research provided by Jason were not whining at Jason, they were whining at themselves because it was just too much work to produce one image.

    life happens, I doubt he would actively abandon this contest.
    he was last active 1 week and 3 days ago and he did mention prior to the contest
    that he was busy. I would assume that he hasn't had a chance to log in and check on us, is all.

    LOL, i just looked at my crop options in photoshop CS6... look for your self... kinda funny after all this.

    I don't think i added anything to make those show up, but i just now see them... meh time to read a book on photoshop.

    @jason
    , if you come back, I'm oppositional defiant lol. I can't stand being told what or how to do something, even if for my own good. And god forbid i was already going to do it that way, cuz you can almost guarantee i won't now. Ask my EX, she'll attest to that. Nothing against you.
