Very cool. My super picky nature sees some of those drops looking more like broken glass since they have hard square edges. Great wet skin.
April 19, 2018 at 12:58 AM #575168Uh @robf4g210 who's your friend? I love the expression you gave her. Did that come with the wet add-on or is it part of the model? Like @d0gg0d mentioned, it does look like squared off glass so I thought perhaps the top of the water was iced up and she came and "emerged" from the broken ice layer. I like the way the pool looks wet and reflects. My only question is the position of her right leg. It too should have splash emitting from it's motion because she's too close to the edge of the pool to have been standing like that. Even the ripple she causes doesn't reflect motion from that leg. I really think your skin tan selection and muscular physique are spot on of a beach bunny. The lighting and the amount of sunshine are proportional to the scene. Even your choice of bikini and hair shows you have great attention to detail. Yup, the more I look at it, the more I like the muscle reaction that would resemble a fine healthy, young thang emerging from a pool like she knows all eyes are on her. well, that's what I see. Thank you.
April 19, 2018 at 3:46 AM #575301Thanks, @d0gg0d and @locololo!
I take all the feedback I can get. And I noticed that too, that the water droplets look more like shards of glass or ice. At the time I thought, well it’s the model, what are you gonna do? Then after I posted it here and on a couple of other galleries, I realized that those droplets are not billboards or decals, they are polymeshes, and I could have subdivided them and changed their mesh resolution. Rendering the drops on a separate layer and adding a Photoshop motion blur would be nice too. Wish I had thought of all that before I exposed it to the world. Oh well...
Loco, you’re right about that leg, too. It detracts from the scene, really, and it would look better if it were down.
April 19, 2018 at 5:55 AM #575374I think some of us post to get feedback so we can improve.
Most of us will never be perfect so theres always room for improvement.
April 19, 2018 at 6:49 AM #575430Convert the drops to subd meshes, if they aren't already, then add object smoothing to them, that will smooth them out nicely. Play with the smoothing level a bit to see if they get better. They don't need a collision object. Increase of the render subD level will smooth them out as well. It will consume a ton of memory if you go to far, so save a new version before every tweak. I have had daz go from using 2GB to 14GB just by jumping two levels on a detailed mesh... it crashed.
Your display SubD level and Render SubD level don't have to be the same, i typically keep my display at 1 or 2, and render around 3 or 4. If you add muscles to a figure, turn the subd up and see the difference.
Anything that isn't subd can be made subd (Sub Divided)
lol, i push the subds a lot i know, but man if you tweak the meshes right, it really helps 😉
April 19, 2018 at 9:51 AM #575555So nice! Reading comments and tips lately makes me realize how novice I am with Daz3D.
April 19, 2018 at 11:40 AM #575654pretty cool wish i was their now 🙂
April 20, 2018 at 2:48 PM #577107Made some changes, still not sure...

Put the leg down. Makes the pose seem less awkward. Added more splashes and converted them to sub-d, which makes them look much better. But I'm not sure about the shadows they are casting.
April 20, 2018 at 7:01 PM #577327ok so i looked at some RL pics of women popping out of water.
Most of the water is centered and flowing off the hair.
Water droplets above her head and that she is 3/4 out of the water would imply she shot out with great speed or force. Also droplets higher than her shoulders several inches above and away from her seems unnatural. She'd have to be swimming faster than a dolphin.
IF she were flipping her hair around then droplets could be anywhere and in great quantity.
Just me thinking to myself.
April 20, 2018 at 7:07 PM #577336Bit more
Water is clingy and would fall/stream off clothing pulled by gravity. half of the drops appear to be breaking the laws of gravity.
April 20, 2018 at 7:20 PM #577345Thank you! I should have looked at some reference photos myself.
Usually I take feedback and file it away for future growth without actually fixing the image but rather applying what I learned with the next. But I'm pretty committed to this one so you'll probably see it at least one more time.
April 20, 2018 at 8:45 PM #577396NP hope I can help. Wish I could do one that nice. I am fairly picky so I analyze a lot.
April 20, 2018 at 10:32 PM #577474She looks even better than before and I like the way the water drops are behaving. I don't know what happen to the comment (I thought) I submitted a few hours ago. I wanted to see what others have noticed. But I must not have hit the submit button. I've been having a few issues with my computer. Not sure what I did to upset it. It must not have been too important or it would have fought it's way to this thread. I probably accidentally made the comment on a different thread. So if you see @robf4g210 on a random thread then you know I meant it for this one. Great work, and an even great job on the improvements. Have an awesome weekend.
April 21, 2018 at 12:15 AM #577550Is it me or in the second picture her bikini top seems not tight enough? And I still prefer the first pose... Droplets are really improved. Great job!
