    She's done (more or less!). Will continue to work on her ear, but I think she's at the point where most of the clipping and proportion issues have been ironed out. Her name is Xoraia, the one figure I've been working on for 6+ months to learn/struggle with Daz.

    I'd like to thank everyone for their feedback on her, as its helped me learn, and hopefully improve. She's now ready for compositions, with many adventures and stories to tell. Hope you like her!

    I think she's almost there!

    Things Done:

    + Fixed sharp brow edge/eye socket bone.
    + Tweaked ears. Playing with mesh grabber and working with some additional morphs.
    + Tweaked proportions. Reduced eye size slightly.
    + Increased waist girth and abdomen width.

    Todo:
    - Improve texture quality around ears

    xx build v3

    Use download link for original full res, no resized version. Forum and postimg embed is autoresizing and smoothing to fit forum wrapper.

    Things done:

    + Changed from Height Map to Normal Map, bumped up values 4x.
    + Reduced muscularity by 40% overall, 60% on the rib cage.
    + Removed DOF on the full figure render.
    + Tweaked nose.
    + Tweaked brow.
    + Tweaked mouth.
    + Tweaked legs.

    Todo:

    - Not happy with the ears, LOL!
    - Need to address the sharp eye/brow ridge. Looks like a collision issue with a morph.

    N.B. No post work at all (no vignette or lighting/color correction).

    This is the first of likely many female elf characters I am working on in Daz. This is the same character that I showed a month ago, having gone through two dozen or more iterations, and one iteration which was used for the contest entry.

    The composition was hastily smashed together and quickly rendered in iRay to test shape and texture. I'll post a close up pic of the face later.

    The dForce tips really helped as I got the hair and clothes to drape decently now. Especially doing the dForce on each non-overlapping item separately.

    I don't believe she's quite ready for a real composition just yet, so am looking for feedback to improve any aspect of the character.

    P.S. I think that aspect ratio of my computer monitor is off as my render looks awfully tall/thin on my phone. Will have to play around with proportions.

    I'd like to see the face up-close. I'm no expert on modeling, though. She almost reminds me of Twiggy (remember her?) with her build.

    Hi Kerri, thanks for the comments. I donโ€™t know who Twiggy is, can you share me a link to her? Nonetheless, I do see that my character is a bit in the too slim side so going to bulk her up a bit in the next iteration.

    Beautiful work on the face and eyes. It's hard to give much feedback since it's difficult to determine her body details with the dress on, also, she's a bit far away... although the slender/tall physique goes nicely with the face (especially for an elf).

    Twiggy is a UK fashion model from the 60's. Her "thin frame and big eyes" were all the rage. Here's a little about her. Your character has that look, which is definitely not a bad thing at all ๐Ÿ˜€

    I think she looks great Diviniren 💖💖💖. I love her cute face and the texture you used.
    As for "... my computer monitor is off.." then perhaps it is if the pic here doesn't look the same as on your screen.
    I took the image and increased its x axis a bit, hope you don't mind. Now you've got me worried if my own pictures have the correct aspect ratio.
    ps. as we are joint winners of the last art comp we need to keep up that high standard... feeling any pressure LOL?😂 .

    Good morning Diviniren. What have you created this time?
    For an elf character, she looks very classy. She looks fragile and that's what makes her. Really beautiful skin. Her nose is very stylish which is good for her. I also think it's great that she's so leggy. She's an elf. What I don't like is her hair. But that is a matter of taste. I think it makes a lot of difference to see her in a beautiful environment.

    Oh dear.... not knowing who Twiggy is ๐Ÿ™
    And I am six years younger than she [Twiggy] is.

    I bet people would not even know what was meant by 'bippy'or when it was said...

    Added new WIP pics above that takes in all of your feedback.

    @Goblyn
    Replaced kimono with undergarment.

    @Frank22
    Yes, looks like my aspect was off. The intended proportions was something in between what I had and your resized pic. Thanks!

    @Lucafeelgood
    Thanks! She'll have different hairstyles later on once she's been minted!

    @Serge2804
    Thank you! I've trimmed her ears a bit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    @Fuzzy3000
    and @Kerwidwen Ah! Yeah, Twiggy is definitely well before my time ๐Ÿ˜‰ That said, I could see some similarities! Thanks for sharing that comment!

    She looks great!
    The porcelain skin is superb, I was going to say that her skin is too pristine and may need an imperfection or two... but I see the stylized look you're going for (almost like a living ball joint doll).

    The only issues I have are her rib cage (it looks oddly pushed out, which I find EJ Body Shapes helps with, as their rib shapes are pretty good) but this may be due to how tense you have the oblique set making it throw me off, and her legs where the thigh has too much detail and looks eternally tense and always flexed (unless that was a look you're going for, since your character is in motion).

    But it all depends on what you're going for in your character. If it's a tall sinewy athletic look you're going for, you've accomplished it.

    If you want a more natural look to your elf, you may want to tone down the muscle features just a bit.

    @goblyn thanks for the feedback! Yes, my character(s) will tend to have an anime look to them, thatโ€™s my style you could say. That said, I may increase the bump mapping a bit as I do feel itโ€™s a bit flat atm. Also, great comments about the muscularity. Looking for something in between, grace but not a pushover. I believe I have some fitness details dialed up too high so will retune. Also, your comment about the obliques go beyond the ribs, just noticed now her nose bridge is absurdly too sharp. Will have to soften that as well. Love the feedback!

    Stop using smoothing mod.. I know you can do those close ups without it. If not I can help.

    Div, ur great.

    P.s. I'm drun... hi. But really. Don't use smoothing modifier on a figure. I only told that one person because doing thick figures is hard.

    Get into blender or Zbrush. No joke.

    @kefka what is smoothing mod? Is that a setting in the render section? Itโ€™s possible the soft edges are due to the dof settings in the camera. But the texture details seem pretty sharp to me? Hopefully this is not another shortcoming of my ips-monitorโ€ฆ

    ๐Ÿ™ No but yes? I guess it is beccuase of DOF? I find that hard to agree but BotDoubt..

    Have you used a Soft Rubber Eraser to correct your hair? it looks bad. I think you tried to use DOF, but it didn't turn out well.
